It makes for more refined higher skill gameplay. Spamming portals everywhere just isn't fun for most people, despite how fun and rewarding it is to master.

If this was a new Halo it would be spat on by everyone for good reason. Lots of Splitgate 1 players arent happy with this new game because of how much its changed from the first game. I dont think the game is bad but this isnt what alot of us asked for. Non-Equal starts, weapon attachments, round based combat, portals taking a backseat to abilities. this aint it for a lot of us.

tf is this slander? They stopped support for the first game because they got a ton of funding and they knew SG1 had no longevity (feature and content-wise) so they decided to make a sequel with better animations, guns, looks, etc. Maybe watch the stream with the actual founder

​@@WhiteDragonTC you misunderstand, they never expected to reach the level of attention they got. When they were making the first game, they took a ton of shortcuts and made a lot of haphazard decisions. When it *did* reach the level of attention it got, they couldnt support the large player count. The issues they needed to fix werent simple problems, but would require a complete redesign of their core code base. Thats why support for the first game didnt last very long. They decided to start over and do it right, including changing engins and starting feom scratch.

@@PierceMD they stopped the work TO WORK ON THE SEQUEL why would they do the same for the sequel
