My very own tips from my experience.. try to relax yourself eventho our english are not very good but still.. if you're feeling relax I'm sure you can handle it nicely.. don't be scared about the grammar just spit out anything you want to story to the prefect / teacher.. even if we're good in english and have a storyline to speak but if we don't have the confidence and relax we still going to struggle on the speaking test.. goodluck to batch 04 all the best guys
@@kamrulazmi7134 it's the same if you remain silent for too long and if the prefect/teacher ask you a lot of questions they will deduct your marks.. anddd cikgu saya sendiri pesan dulu banyakkan bercakap cerita lah tentang apa2 pun dengan kehendak soalan tu
Baru tengok pun dah seram 😂 Macam manalah nanti..Harap² dapat bertutur dengan lancar dan Harapnya semuanya berjalan dengan lancar .. Jadi, selamat maju jaya buat semua calon SPM 2021 ✨
Who else here when speaking by yourself everything is fluent but when in front of ppl ur stutter a lot u just can't get rid the nervous felling and all the words in ur mind all disappear
@@tofupiee ouh pls, I always tell my friends that accent is NOT at all important as long as the examiner can understand you. What's more important is the grammar but whenever I speak to em in English they forget all about my advice....
Actually the most important things are you need to speak up and try to elaborate your ideas,BTW I'm wishing all the best to spm 2021 candidates including myself~~hoping that all 2004 batch students will get excellent result!!Jiayouuu!!!
just treat your examiner like your best friend dont take it as a test talk as much as you can try to be in friendly chatting mode no matter how bad you sound you would eventually get an A
DO NOT STRESS YOURSELF OUT and PLAN YOUR STUDIES. Use simple sentence if you struggle to expand your points. Jangan panik, jangan gelabah dan jangan palau member tak pandai BI/BM.
I know my anxiety will just pop out when this kind of things happen. But there’s still 3 more years for me to prepare for this XD Wish all the best to the students out there!
if u guys feel scare and tediam for muslim please selawat! trust janji Allah insyaAllah di permudahkan! and for others religion doa bnyak2! dont be scare just do your best!🥰 good luck everyone🤍
For those who cannot speak english at all, for part 3,try to say the main point and give only one reason or elaboration ,and then you can pass to the candidate B / candidate A with sentences ' How do you think? / Are you agree with me? / What is your opinion? / Can I know what you think? Just any sentences like these. And the other one just say ' I agree with you ' / I totally agree with you. / I absolutely agree with you. / Yes, that's my idea ! Then just say the other points that on the bubble map. Give only one reason or elaboration. The given time is very short. If you able to say all the points on part 3 with short sentences then it is enough. You must fight the marks on this paper 4. It has 25% for this paper‼️‼️ ** FOR BATCH 05 AND THOSE WHO HAVEN'T TAKE THE SPEAKING TEST 🥲 **
I got shivers just from watching because I'm an introvert . I have no problem speaking English but starting a conversation in English is another problem . Good luck to everyone on Batch 04 , next year I'll be taking this on too
its okay, be confident in yourself! I myself am an introvert too n i also dont have any problem with english, its just making a conversation in english is what makes it hard
Here are some pearls of wisdom from an English teacher. There's no shortcut in excelling in the productive skills of the English Language - speaking and writing skills. I emphasize on the former more because we as humans communicate verbally all the time. In contrast, we don't write unless required to. To be able to speak English well, one must think in English all the time. Once this becomes your second nature, speaking grammatically or proper English becomes easy. That being said, the misconception of equating speaking with an accent to language proficiency must be disabused. You needn't fake an American accent by rolling your 'r' to sound impressive. Just speak naturally and be conscious of your tone, grammar, pronunciation and intonation. Speak English whenever you can. Correct practice makes perfect. Never think that you're unpatriotic to your country and race if you speak a foreign language frequently and well. Learning any language has no relation with how much you love your country. Remembering this is important. In short, speaking English has to be part of your identity if you want to succeed. Nothing wrong with it, is there? I'm equally competent in both Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia. It's high time Malaysians spoke better English like my generation (those born between the late 1950's and early 1960s and attended English-medium schools) did. Do you know that Malaysia was once the pride of the world for being a powerhouse in English?
i'm taking spm next year, watching this vid kind of giving me motivation to study english more 😹 i can write, but speaking..i would say i'm bad at it. social anxiety + introvert problems lmfao😇
As a senior in uni what I can tell my juniors is that please listen and talk more in English. Watch Ted Ed and Ted Talks. Watch comedian shows from US and UK. Watch English news more often. The important thing is that when you can think in 100% English mode, you will be in a very good shape. Try to transition yourself into that, or else if you are thinking in BM mode or Mandarin mode, you need to take time process everything into English, and take a hell lot of time to say out words, hence the lack of fluency. And the most important thing is confidence. Just say it out, don't let words stuck in your mouth. Practice makes perfect. All the best everyone!
you know what's funny? i always think in english, write like almost 90% in english but damnn when it's time to speak in english, my brain just stop functioning in english lmao. having the confidence but still cannot produce wtv words i want to convey is suck sometimes, makes me feels really frustrated after the conversations..so i have to, consciously, think first before speak in english to others. i mean hey, at least on the bright side rn it is not that bad compared to my high school years 😂
As a person who has spoken English since I was 3, grammar is the second thing you want to think about. As long as you speak, there would be marks for you. I, myself, will have a problem when I suddenly think about my grammar during a speech. Ignore it, for ignorance is a bliss Suerte to my fellow batch 05!
A tip for speaking is to time yourself when practicing bcs time is far too precious. Remember that you guys only have 12 minutes for the whole test so dont hog all of the time yourself. On part 3, do a selang seli kind of talk. like A do 1st point and then B do 2nd point, after that A do 3rd point and B do 4 point. this is to ensure both of the candidate have time to get marks. to save time the interlocutor would usually stop the candidates at the fourth point if there is no time. And ignore the marker and just focus on the interlocutor
@@nicolewong7185 oof man, yeah it happens. Our teacher alway told us to know when to stop talking bcs thats our problem. We talked to much which is generally good, but in the speaking test, not so much
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing someone with a not-so perfect accent(even if it was acted out. I feel like they weren't truly nervous as it came out a bit awkward) to show that it is _okay_ to not have a perfect british accent. What's most important is that your thoughts and idea are brought across crystal clear. Certain videos had near-perfect candidates speaking which brings out more preasure for candidates that are not as perfect. I'm always emphasizing my accent too much, in fear of being judged for not being fluent with my words that all of the ideas flies out of my head
You really don't need the 'perfect British accent' when you do your speaking exam. The examiners are not looking for that. Continuous practice makes progress! All the best.
@@kucingterboek You too buddy❤️, all of these isn't the last for us but that just an beginning for our era. Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements , could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang, and although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world.
this is very similar to english speaking test that I took during pt3 (99s batch) & also MUET. my tips to my fellow juniors, 1. Read about current issues 2. Watch english movies, youtube videos is great too as long as they are speaking in full & proper english. 3. Listen to english songs & read the lyrics 4. Find a friend that you can casually talk about current issues It works for me. I aced my speaking test during pt3 & MUET just by doing these. Most importantly is to PRACTICE. All the best! 💪💪
thank you so much for this video as I'm going to sit for my speaking test and my SPM in just 1-2 months only. with this i can prepare myself. thanks again.🙂

TIPS: Berlatih bercakap didepan CERMIN atau RAKAM percakapan anda. If you dont have anyone to practice your speaking test with, talk in front of the MIRROR or RECORD yourself speaking the language. I can vouch for this technique because back in the days, I used to be too shy and not confident with my ability to speak the language. Plus, because of the stigma of the people around me, it has made me even reluctant to use it. So, I practice speaking the language in front of a mirror. My mother frequently caught me speaking broken English alone in my room but that technique has made me improve my English language proficiencies.
its good to prepare at an early stage, and you should too! I'm going to have my speaking test soon, although i can speak english fairly well, i would still stutter when i'm nervous especially in situations like this. so, i recommend that you do 'fake interviews' to yourself in front of the computer by answering all of the questions so that you have a clearer understanding of how fluent your english is when spoken~
Me watching this because my exam is coming [cry] Last year I make this comment and this year I’ll be participating real SPM speaking test may all batch 06 will excel their SPM with fltying colors
