Ok so I used a lot of s2 ep 1 clips in this initially but yt blocked it globally. So I had no choice but to re work the video and change out basically the whole first min of the song. Since it was s2 clip heavy.
So sorry if the very first clip is so shot, and fades in and out so quick. I used other s2e1 clips and they were not flagged/blocked so I figured as long as the clips are short and sweet maybe yt will allow it. So here goes.
It's strange, cuz s2e1 was uploaded to yt. So, not sure why they don't let me use it. But ah well. I do remember when I let the clips run they blocked it when s1 was not fully done yet. They seem to be more lenient now seeing as we are on s2 now and the whole 1st season is on yt now. So I gotta just be careful with s2 clips.
I wanted to make this video cuz of all the shappel in the season premier. I felt the song was a perfect fit! Anyways enjoy :D

I saw the episode where Human Spock hides from his future in-laws as he literally loses it. I can actually relate, some in-laws will really want to make you feel borderline homicidal just being with them for any length of time. #truestory

It occurs to me that this will become a long standing secret relationship. It also occures to me that it ends at some point years in the future. It also occures to me that this relationship may be why Spock avoided Pon Farr for years. T'Pring evidently went through her first one with Stonn.

I dunno about "doomed" - the relationship between Spock and Chapel was never expounded upon in TOS. HOWEVER, we did have a scene in TOS where Spock somehow drove Chapel out of his room in tears - and they were amicable again later that same ep when they did deign to give Chapel some screen time again with Spock. They also never went in-depth with Spock's back stories in TOS like they did now in SNW. He has a half-brother named Sybok that was only revealed in Star Trek V, and now they gave him a crazy adopted sister in Michael "multiple emotional disorder" Burnham. Of all the characters so far from Kirk's TOS crew, they're fleshing out Spock and Uhura to the point that they're somewhat expounding what little backstory they had that was only half-assed in TOS. They've even expounded the story of M'Benga despite the fact he was merely a filler character in TOS. Even T'Pring was supposedly a throwaway character for that one episode in Amok Spock in TOS, and now she isn't a one-note 2D side dish character as well. Hell, even Pike and Una are no longer one-hit side characters either. Whilst Kirk is a somewhat "militaristic" explorer back in TOS, Pike has the qualities of Captain Archer (explorer) and Captain Picard (diplomat) combined - yet will not hesitate if push comes to shove. He's the intellectual middle ground to Kirk's cowboy tactics as seen in TOS. Come to think of it, we rarely see the TOS crew interact off-duty outside of their "command" setting except perhaps for Kirk, Spock, and McCoy - and even that was sparse in TOS. We knew from the novels some of them had families - McCoy himself has great grandkids. For all we know - not counting beta canon novels - that maybe Spock and Chapel did end up together, but it was never showed. The only time we ever saw Christine Chapel in live action was in the movies was a cameo scene of her in Star Trek TMP and in STIV.

Good video. I have only seen the premeire ep of second season, but there's a lot of shappel clips there. They did go against TOS canon though, since Spock's first command was supposed to be in The Galileo Seven. I like how they decided to explore Spock's emotions more in SNW, but I think he was a bit too emotional in the second season premeire. I liked the use of lyrics in this video, but thought they were a bit distracting.

Thank you :D Maybe that G7 was his first official command. But yeah they do seem to go against a lot of canon. For better or worse. I feel like since the series is only 10 eps they have to get Spock to show more emotion. It was the same with the Kelvin timeline reboot movies imo. The reason I put the lyrics was that it was hard to for me to keep track of the lyrics. And it's funny a lot of the songs I use have been around for a while and I was mishearing the lyrics. It is not until I make these fan vids that I look up lyrics. I tried to make the text transparent but still visible. Thanks for the feedback as always. :D
