For viewers who are confused, it's common to have other countries making a remake of popular movies or series from another countries, with the famous one from S. Korea was Autumn of My Heart, and it's sequel Winter Sonata which was also responsible for the emergence of the K-wave trend world wide that we're seeing till today. It's also a common thing with the Hollywood making remakes of famous South American series like Ugly Betty, which was adapted from Columbia famous series Soy Betty, La Fea, and from Asian movies like Ju-On to The Grudge, or The Ring.

@@kgnll87 It really depends on the producer, but Korean series are really addicting till I have to stop watching them after I kept going to work with panda eyes trying to watch a 100 or 200 episodes of a series non stop after work every day 😭 these days I only watch a 20 episodes series 😂

The actress that played Aoi did her job so incredibly well. Imo she played the role better than her itaewon class counterpart. I remember watching this for the first time and really connecting with her as a character even faster than Arata. It's hard to say which version of this was better, both this drama & itaewon class had parts that shined much more than the other, though I think this one was a bit more engaging for me as a viewer.

this is just itaewon class but a japanese version.. new kid transfers to school.. beats up bully.. bully turns out to be the son of the new kids fathers boss.. bully kills new kids father while driving drunk.. new kid almost kills the bully.. new kid goes to jail for 9 years.. new kid leaves jail and has the future love of his life.. bully is almost the owner of the business.. new kid runs a nearly successful small restaurant.. becomes quite successful.. crushes enemy.. having the love of his life. yadayadayada, yes i just recapped itaewon class in less than 3 paragraphs
