I never thought I'd say this, but I have mad respect for Clara! Clara has given Esther and her son the greatest gift either of them could ever receive: each other! What a powerful episode this will be. I'm so looking forward to tomorrow evening when I can watch it in its entirety!
I am happy to see writers gave Esther a happy ending. She got one in season 1 too. I hope Clara told her what Edward was doing with all those letters. Thanks Livie!
OMG! This is beautiful and so touching. These two actresses are amazing. Clara has truly redeemed herself and given Esther and the child a great blessing. I used to not want spoilers, but after such a long difficult period waiting for Sanditon to return, it is hard not to want it all ASAP.
Thank goodness little George will go to Esther! As crabby & cynical as she’s always been, Esther has a mother’s heart. I’m willing to bet having George will heal her & allow her to bear a child of her own. I’ve heard many true stories to that effect. I thought Lady D would make Clara give George up! The baby deserves the best household, & I’ve long thought that neither Clara nor Ed were fit to raise a gerbil, let alone a child.
I believe Lord Babington will be happy with the child because Esther is happy. He loves her and after he sees her with George how could he be anything but happy… I will wait til I see episode 6 but thank you for this beautiful moving music video. I hope this means that they find out what Edward has been doing. Clara has redeemed herself and I loved her apart of this season. Esther deserves everything good to happen to her.

Agreed, I wasn't so enthralled with Charlotte's story in season 2, unlike season 1, but I did like her sister and will be interested to see where she goes.
OH MY HEART!!! Yay! I want to be happy for Esther but the baby isn't just Clara's so Edward will be involved in a tug of war for him. Not sure it matters whether he and Clara were married or not. I'm glad Clara is walking away from Edward at least for now. Hope that note included a warning to Esther of what Edward has been doing to her. Yay, at least the season will end on a happier note for Esther than I thought it would. Thank you for this video!
It will be sad to see Esther and babington not returning to the show for season 3. At least she got her happy ending.. they were all good actor's. But who knows? It's a soap opera right? 😆 Maybe they'll be a season 4! Edward needs someone to mess with!

The thing is though Esther wanted a baby so bad. She wouldn’t love any baby. I wouldn’t call it true love, she just wants a child so bad and is a wonderful motherly person. I’m also trying to figure out how her husband is going to be cool with this. You don’t just show up with a baby and not get questions. He’s a man of title. Of course things like this in some capacity happen like with bastards. But this is Edwards child so now Esther is tied to him forever even more. Idk I just don’t think this story makes sense wrapped up in a pretty bow and I’m sure their story isn’t done so we may see conflict next season. But we shall see! I do want Esther to be happy but Clara too.
Poor wonderful Clara. Ultimately all she ever wanted was a clean safe place to live away from men. We need to remember she was a victim of incest before she could even write her name.
@@jstypula1619Esther and Edward are step siblings by marriage and are not related. They are also the same age. Clara was incested by an Uncle “before she knew a prick from a pencil.” This is a very important aspect of her character. She is to be pitied.
@@LG-dj9qr I did not know that, may have missed it...yet it doesn't excuse her seducing Edward in season one for the purposes of having something over him and extorting one fouth of inheritance. I believe, this story line was not received well. Anyway....she is lost and maybe his walking away from all will low her to heal and find happiness

I wish this means Clara gives baby George to Ester for good and not appear next season wanting baby back....now to start working on Lord B to accept baby. We need to remember, this ia all about bloodlines and inheritances ans messy legal and social nuances.

To be honest I am really unhappy with the writters who taken Esther story to such a miserable place. It would have been better to have brought in a new actor to play Lord Barrington and let Esther be happy.
I’m actually so saddened by this. I don’t think it makes sense for Clara to give her baby to Esther. Clara maybe feels she has to but that baby was going to have a good life no matter what. Esther would never allow that baby to not be provided for and I’m sure Lady Denham would have seen to Clara because she is a relation (unless the baby isn’t Edwards?). Idk I just wouldn’t have gone about it this way, but it is very sweet and Esther really deserves happiness.
