I'm excited to be unboxing Diamond Art Club's Halloween 2024 MYSTERY BOX! In this box, DAC included two never-before-seen kits and two surprise kits that have previously released, and it was so fun to open this up and see which kits I received! I did purchase this box myself during the release last weekend, where it did sell out pretty quickly.
NOTE: There is a lot of variation in the possible mystery box kit combinations, so what you see pictured here may vary slightly, entirely, or not at all from what others have received. There are a total of five new Halloween kits that were released as part of the never-before-seen options.

I never take a chance on mystery boxes. I know what I like and would hate to spend almost $300 ( I believe the price was either $264 or $267 CAD) and get stuff I won't like. 😊

I was really excited about my box, I got the Aria Illustrations which is round drills with a white background, and the ink is super visible even when drills are placed. I saw the post about it and contacted support like they said. Support didn’t offer me any compensation like they said they would, and I’ve read enough Reddit horror stories about people getting their accounts closed for complaining that I’m afraid to email them back and ask again.

I just read that post and was thinking the same thing. I have 2 canvases that have the new pink lined perforated plastic cover.... I know I need to check them. I hope you post an update if you decide to contact them again. I downloaded that comment from DAC to have "back up" to send them.

I'll probably end up destashing 3 of my halloween box kits, which are different than yours. I think it's odd that some people like you got 2 new kits by the same artist in their box. I don't particularly like that. (Especially when they're both AI-- I definitely wouldn't be keeping those either!)

I've been bummed a few times for the DAC Mystery boxes. I've done it 3 times and I was like never again bc I always end up having to destash. It's fun to watch an unboxing for one though!

Thank you for explaining the cards, printed lines and DAC’s info for the issues since remedied!! I had zero clues the cards even existed so, naturally, I’ll be ripping into my kits asap 😂 For the mystery boxes I’ve purchased 2 or 3. Overall decent experiences and very good prices considering all that is included. I do wish DAC would, or could, do them based on both the inventory on hand and the buyer’s wishlist. I think that would sell these mystery packs even quicker while boosting customer satisfaction. Just a thought but overall great sneak peak! Love living vicariously through you here!

Great advice about destashing. I have several from previous mystery boxes that I’m going to destash that I haven’t gotten around to. Hopefully I’ll get that up after some of the hype has died down.

I would purchase mystery kits if they had a theme that I liked, for example Landscapes, or Seascapes, or Animals, or Fantasy... then I would feel safe on spending the money in something that I would probably enjoy!

I was too scared to order a mystery box. I did see a couple of kits that were awesome that did come out. I was also scared I might get a kit with a light kit with the marks on it. I did love seeing yours today and g Hope your week goes great

I love both the Halloween kits you got but I don’t know if I would take a chance on mystery kits. I have only bought a few Diamond Art Kits which were the ones through QVC, a couple through HSN, and a couple from Hobby Lobby so far. I have learned a lot about licensing which I didn’t know before so now I will be watching what I buy in the future.

I was really nervous to take a chance on the mystery box but for me it did work out and I got the one I really wanted 😊 unfortunately, the other 3 kits were not ones I like but although I'm disappointed in those, I'm glad I don't have to deal with the craziness to get the kit I want 😅 good luck Katie! I'm sure you'll be able to trade for what you want, a lot of people wanted Sea Witch at least

I've yet to do a mystery kit. I have thought about doing a mini set or possibly ordering one with an artist and style that I want to chance it. It sounds like fun in theory, but going smaller seems like a safer bet for me. That being said, I wouldn't hate it if some of the halloween kits get released later 😊

I was tempted but I ultimately abstained from the Halloween mystery box and I feel like that was the right call for me. I’d had just been Halloween kits (2 old 2 new) I would probably have done it, but I haven’t really liked any of the “customer favorites” they’ve sent out. Different strokes for different folks. The two new ones that you got would have been the two I would have hoped for but I’m not really in love with any of them. I enjoyed watching people be excited for their boxes and seeing what people received… but ultimately I’m happy with my decision not to purchase.. this time. 😁

Hi Katie, I am a chance taker. So, if I wasn't in Debt I would take a chance on a mystery box. I have decided to put all my Diamond Paintings on my Decision wheel, plus enter all in PaintGem. I was looking in Amazon Prime for DAC dp's on sale. What I found was DAC light pad. Competition for other companies. I looked up Sea Witch. I found one Sea Witch was a Clipper Ship from 1844 which carried Opium from Asia to the US. ..

I got the MissbutterD kit. Not my style, but eventually I will either work on it or give it to my mom. I was hoping for the dragon kit, but I can't complain because I took the risk. I could destash after the moratorium, I just don't want to deal with shipping. Especially since I don't have a printer.

Thus is why I am giving up on DAC! People on budgets NEVER get the new releases Unless paydays and new releases magically align! I am so frustrated with them! I love the thick canvas, the universal DMC Numbering system. I could never do a mystery box Knowing how DAC operates, I am sure they will stuff the boxes with kits that aren't selling! At least that would be my luck. I would appreciate any recommendations on companies that use DMC Color codes.

Hi Katie. Yeah I'm not really a fan of mystery boxes. I have purchased 1 and of the 2 kits I got one is going to my Mom and the other will be destashed. I personally dont care for AI art work but I did like the sea witch one. Just my opinion. Thx 4 sharing.

I will likely never take a gamble on a mystery box as I really like to choose my kits. I am not a super speedy diamond painter so try to weigh time value. I am getting very concerned about the frequency of quality issues DAC is having with printing issues, incorrect inserts in boxes, and in my case, entire colors missing from kits. I feel like they need to slow down some on release volume and invest in quality control before their reputation takes a hit.

I tried getting a mystery kit twice and both of them were not something I liked. I didn't do this box and unfortunately for me, I really like the dragon kit and I've been wanting Stargazer so I'm a little bummed but I may not have gotten that one anyway.

Wow! A gold card! How lucky! I’ve not been successful at actually scanning any of the QR codes on my cards (all bronze so far) due to how shiny the holographic is on the card. Is there any tips for that part?

The individual codes on the cards will not work by themselves. The trading cards are meant to be "stacked". You combine a certain # of gold, silver, bronze... to qualify for one prize. There is a page on DAC's website that tells you how many cards you need for which products.💕

I meant that I can’t get the QR code on my cards to scan to get to the explanation page (as described in the video-not for claiming, just to get to the explanation page). I have to google search to find the page for the treasure quest cards. I know that you need a certain combo of different levels to be able to actually claim a bonus. I was just surprised to see a gold card as I’ve made multiple purchases and haven’t seen anything other than a bronze myself. (At this point it will be next to impossible to even get to the minimum combo required.)

I only have 1 card and it was actually gold! It's disappointing that the individual cards don't count as anything - even for something small like a free cover minder, or steel tip with your next purchase, because there is no chance I could ever afford to buy the amount of kits required to accumulate enough cards to exchange, especially as there's no guarantee the kit will have a card in anyway. The discount codes on the packaging slips are a better deal for people like me who can only buy occasionally.

@@amandakuzdas4939 sorry... I misunderstood. I'm low tech... so I've never scanned the qrc code. I agree that unless you buy a lot of kits... the likely hood of getting the right codes is very low. I personally feel DAC tried doing too many "improvements" in a short period of time. The problem with the red lines on the plastic cover bleeding on to the canvas, the wrong or missing sticker sheets, careless printing (misspelling). In my last 5 orders I received 2 with missing drills, and another one not with the updated canvas as promised. It all just feels sloppy. Accidents happen... but this seems like a lot.

I've done 1 and had 1 of the painting already and didn't like the others I received I will not do it again I was very disappointed in what I received i wouldn't buy a Halloween mystery box I don't like dark art
