Let’s get into the topic of these two cities. Common theme in WA state is to shit in Tacoma. Then those same cities start to take downward spirals. Spokane is no exception and let’s lift up the curtain to see how they both compare.
I've had a brain fart for the past wk. For the life of me, I couldn't remember a word to describe a suburb near me. U said it- Utopia. Ankeny Iowa, they've got their own utopia, I knew it would come to me some how, some way. Thank you!
Yeah, all of those things are close and fixed now. Melanie Dressel Park is where some of it was, soon there will be a new highschool and Port of Tacoma headquarters will be on some of it. The last pulp mill closed last year and is being dismantled.
One thing to consider also is that Spokane has had many opportunities to annex surrounding unincorporated areas which has allowed them to keep ahead of Tacoma in population. While in comparison, Tacoma is either locked in by small cities or told by the state that they can't annex areas in the brown's point or parkland areas. This has always handcuffed Tacoma growth opportunities...oh, and I drove through Spokompton yesterday. Looks old and rundown, not like more of a city, that's ridiculous.
