Stephen Hillenburg was already a legend for creating one of the best cartoons ever, but the more I did research on him, the more a realized he was so much more than that. According to people who knew him (his wife, kids, and coworkers), Hillenburg was a funny, good-hearted, and down to earth guy who loved his family more than anything. He is a shy person who never wanted to become a celebrity, he just wanted to make people happy and pursue his passions. He used the money he got from SpongeBob to become a philanthropist, giving money to marine life organizations, hospitals, artists, and a myriad of general purpose charities. The Princess Grace Foundation was even able to start a scholarship program in his name, The Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship was funded by the Hillenburg family to help aspiring artists. Stephen Hillenburg was as authentic as they come. Rest easy King
I'm glad Stephen Hillenburg was genuine, other people who are famous/most look up to are fucked up assholes, but I'm glad Stephen Hillenburg was a great dude all-around.
To all Spongebob fans and those who knew Stephen Hillenburg: This is Harrison, I'm a MASSIVE Spongebob Squarepants fan. I've seen most of the series, seen two movies and heard of lots games about him. But aside from that, I'm deeply sad about his passing. But Stephen would'nt want us to be sad and grieving over him, he would want us to be happy with everything around us. So for Stephen, let's raise a glass to the man who invented the people of Bikini Bottom - Stephen Hillenburg! 🖖Rest in peace, may you rest peacefully
The have to end SpongeBob the BEST WAY POSSIBLE, it better not be another gay move from SpongeBob otherwise nickelodeon is swear on just making money not caring the soul that SpongeBob used to FRICKING have
There will never ever be anyone like Stephen Hillenburg. We didn’t deserve him. He impacted my childhood like so many. Watching this, I cried like I did the day we lost. That’s something I’ll never forget.
"How high's he gonna go?" "All the way Patrick, up to the great beyond." "Goodbye, friend!" "Happy trails!" Rest in peace, Stephen Hillenburg. I will always cherish and value the vast and incalculable amounts of joy you brought me and so many other people as children. The value of your work on modern entertainment cannot begin to be understated. I hope wherever you are now, you are just as ready as Spongebob was in Help Wanted. ❤🧽
Wow. What a way to remember one of the greatest tv show creators of all time. Rest easy, Mr. Hillenburg. You may be gone, but your show will always live on.
Stephen Hillenburg: A Nickelodeon legend. Thanks for all the amazing content and laughs, including the childhood memories, Stephen. Thank you so so so so SO much. We will all miss you very incredibly much. Again, Thank you for the childhood memories. Rest in Peace, Stephen Hillenburg. Rest in peace.
As someone thst grew up with SpongeBob SquarePants this is a nice little tribute to the late Stephen Hillenburg he would've loved this Can't wait for the 25th anniversary next year and the 20th anniversary of the first movie
This was fantastically made and deserves far more love. Not only was the mix great, but the video editing was perfect. You can really tell how much love and care was put into this.
Viacom, nicks parent company got 1/4th of their revenue from spongebob merchandise alone. Spongebob backpacks and lunchboxes etc were worth more than all of MTV. To this day nick runs at least 2 hours of spongebob reruns everyday because people still want to watch the reruns. And when a million people demanded a single song for his tribute, they drop the ball.
The characters praising and thanking the best man for all the many sweet years they gave to many children and he will never be forgotten for the great treasure he gave us and we will forever remember him from the Greatest series ever seen And hopefully this will not mean the end for everyone's favorite yellow sponge.
This brings tears to my eyes growing up with SpongeBob and finding out the man who brought it to life died and finally seeing the proper tribute being made for him brings a smile and tears to me
It takes a lot for me to cry, and hearing this voice over is truly sad and depressing, knowing that hillenburg is near the end WE LOVE YOU STEVEN HILLENBURG♥️♥️♥️
@@anakin2202 I know. But when Gary sings and meows one or two lines, the person who made this video can put the lyrics Gary's meowing like a foreign movie.
This is a lovely tribute to Stephen. But you know what? Somehow the fact that it's SQUIDWARD who starts it (and ENDS it) makes it more beautiful. Squidward who is not much of a sympathetic person starts the song. Him being the one to pull everybody together, even PLANKTON, to honor their creator. Edit: I'd like to add that this breaks me down a bit because I lost my beloved grandma the year after Stephen passed away. It was unexpected and I didn't even get to say goodbye. I spent most of my time with her and I was always watching Spongebob. It was my favorite and I used to drive her CRAZY with watching it at her house and constantly running around quoting lines. But she put up with it for me. RIP Stephen and I love you Grandma! 💓💓💓
Every time I rewatch those episodes, There is endless happiness surrounding me. Can't believe Steve has left us for such a long time. But all of those wonderful memories remain, maybe that's enough.
This makes the memories of my childhood come flooding back. Stephen Hillenberg rolls in his grave due to the current state of spongebob. Spongebob should of ended after that movie of King Neptune's Crown.
Rest in peace mr.hillenburg as a young man inspired by your work may you he seen in heaven as one of the greats i wish i could've met you when you were alive 😢🥲🧽🐟🐟🐟🐟🐡🐙🐿️🧢🦀🐍🐋🐌⭐(they didnt have a starfish emoji)
Enjoy this guys. The point where ai on the internet is mainly used for entertaining stuff like this. It’s not incredibly scary yet because we can detect its flaws but the more people use it and interact with it, the more realistic it’ll become, it’s interesting and scary all at once. It’s like as life gets more scary there are moments of beauty in human expression that almost make it feel worth it. Ik this is Ai but the creator picked which lines go to which character and then edited a video to fit its tone. That’s why I still consider this stuff art. There was soul put into this video even if the ai elements are by definition soulless.
