I worked at a gas station for about a year, and my favorite part of the job was all the different types of folks I'd get to see come in.. One of my favorites was an older man, maybe in his 70s. He was pretty jolly, and he had a Spongebob lanyard on. So I complimented him on it, and told him that I was obsessed with the show growing up like many kids. His face lit up and he said "Oh I LOVE SPONGEBOB! My favorite line from his is (in a Spongebob voice) 'Mr Krabs, I am so confused!'. Have a wonderful day!" I hope I can be like him when I'm older.

Showing my little nieces the first season of SpongeBob has been the biggest treat to me since canned bread. after noticing that they watch nothing but RU-vid shorts I forced them off that shit and pulled up season one, and now they have been singing the intro like I did when I was their age and it actually brings a tear to my eye, moments like those are ones to truly cherish.

My grandfather is a Nashville style pedal steel-ist, but I recall him watching cartoons with my younger sisters then by ear playing all the slide parts from SpongeBob on his Zum.

@@Reperanger7 when SpongeBob first aired it was very much a show for elementary-aged kids. Hard to understand these days, but in 1999 no 15 year olds were openly watching SpongeBob. You watched South Park, The Simpsons and Space Ghost. Only cartoons allowed for teenagers.

Can't wait for the day, a few years from now, when I'm hearing this in the safe house bunker i stole from my neighbor, after the market finishes falling, along with the nuclear bombs, thinking about all the times i watched Spongebob and played Super Mario Sunshine with my grandma as a child.
