I always used to see these at Goodwill, i was actually planning to do a 30 ways to break a SpongeBob Plug In Play. Untill all got knocked off the shelves.
Man. I remember when I was REALLY young, my daycare had this plug and play console, and I remember playing the hell out of Super Chum Bucket. I even used to own The Fry Cook Games when I was 5, and I loved it so much. Thanks for the nostalgia ^^
this video reminded me of the time a tv fell on me when i was 5 while i was trying to plug in one of these plug and play consoles (either the first spongebob one or a disney princess one) and how i refused to touch or get near a tv for years out of fear of re-experiencing this trauma

I remember having both of these as a kid. While I don't remember much about the second one I do remember quite a bit of the first one. The first Game with the bubble popping had around 50 levels before you got the end screen, while the second with Sandy had around 4 to 6 with the bull-worm as the last boss where you would shoot out all it's teeth. I don't remember much about the third one with the hooks as it was my least favorite of the bunch. The forth was simple, get through the maze by finding all the friends and doing their mini-games. The last game had about 50 levels like the first but ended when you got to Sandy, she was either in a cage or frozen in a block of ice, I can't remember which. As you can see, I had too much fun with this as a kid.
Wow this was such a nostalgia trip because I actually owned the first SpongeBob plug and play console as a kid (the one where SpongeBob's nose is the controller) and I would spend days playing those games my personal favorites were Sandy's surf adventure, Patrick in the maze and the super chum bucket and yes it was a little awkward having zero music and little sound effects but it didnt really bother me much back then

I owned the first plug and play system you mentioned, I would spend hours on Patrick and the Maze and Sandy's Surf Adventure. As for The Fry Cook Games, never owned but have seen videos on it. 1:51 - I remember seeing that scene for the first time I was also begging for Bubble Buddy to not be popped. 3:09 - Exactly! It's an endless shooter, so I want to hear at least some tunes. 3:39 - I was waiting for the gift shop gag, and I'm disappointed it didn't happen. Sigh... 4:29 - Actually, it's game over when one of the characters get caught, not all of them 4:57 - I remember having a fit over one of the minigames since it was difficult and it was a required minigame to get one of the friends. Eventually I did beat it...
This is a remade version. I have the original! There was bubble pop, some jellyfish catching puzzle game, a game where you must defeat jellyfish, and I don't remember the last one... Oh yeah the last one is a snowball fight. Nice.
I had the fry cook games and loved playing it. even brought it with me when i went to the philippines one summer. Not a good idea. My grandma gave it to my cousins there and i never saw it again :/ I loved that game and cried on the way back
I remember having the first SpongeBob Plug n' Play and it felt pretty nostalgic for me seeing this video and seeing the game again.. I do, however, remember the games always scaring me and I never new why. Now that I'm looking at it again, I think it is due to the lack of music, which made it... Eerie... Patrick and the Maze was always the scariest for me though for some reason. I may just have a fear of silence though or I'm afraid of being jumpscared. Either way, I remembered something about my childhood as well as some understanding of the bizarre fear I endured. So, I guess you can say my first horror game was a SpongeBob Plug n' Play. *That's Fine.*
