Something funny I recently realized about the holographic meatloaf is that real life plankton do photosynthesis and thus essentially "eat" sunlight and holograms are images made from light.

@@overdrive7349 Possibly, “Plankton” is actually just a general term for micro sea organisms and can refer to any of Thousands of different species of plants (Phytoplankton) and animals (Zooplankton) For our little green guy in the show, he’s likely based off a Copepod (A small crustacean with with big antenna and usually a single Eye)
