Did anyone notice that the opening and closing cut scenes contradict the cut scenes in the middle of the game? Spongebob has to tell Krabs he lost the formula twice, and the closing cut scene implies Spongebob never left the table, so he never went to the party.

The show itself does a lot of scenes with dreams and entering minds, so I think it’s possible the party, the people there, and the scenarios are all just Spongebob’s mind going on a romp as he tries to find the location might also explain why parts of the memories are just completely incorrect. The ending cutscene kinda confirms it too.

I love the animation work they put in this game so much! Just imagined if a new SpongeBob game in HD had this animation quality on the PS4! Also, Happiness Squared looks so good for a game that reuses alot assets from BFBB & Movie Game (you know, PS2 games), especially the Xbox 360 version.

Can we just appreciate the amount of detail in these cutscene animations. There are more animations than the characters talking to one another in Rehydrated. Of course the colors don’t “pop” as much as Rehydrated, but this still looks so good.

+SpongeySauce69 Honestly though I much prefer this game art direction than Rehydrated. Sure it's not as 'technologically' good, but the visually THIS is SpongeBob (giving SB gums, aside) to me at least. Rehydrated just seems like Reignited, but with a bit of SpongeBob.

@London Jackson Rehydrated and Truth or Square definitely both look good. Just, the teams took different directions with the art. Rehydrated looks like the remasters released in the past few years(Spyro, Crash, etc.) and Truth or Square feels like the show but during that “Post-movie Spongebob” era. I think Rehydrated looks REALLY GOOD, but Truth or Square looks more like the show, which would make people more familiar with it if they saw it. Coming from an artist perspective, Rehydrated is much more visually appealing. All the vibrant colors and scenery make Truth or Square seem “bland”. But Truth or Square captures the movement and feel of the show more so than Rehydrated, which feels a bit static(but that’s only by the limitations of it being a one-for-one remaster).

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game is the only Heavy Iron Studios game where Mr. Krabs is voiced by Clancy Brown.
