What a lot of people didn’t realize is, we now know spongeXML’s reason for killing. If someone knows he’s not SpongeBob, they’re gone. As said by Voxbun, the white part was Gary’s mind, and by a hearted reply, Gary thinks that it’s just him and SpongeBob having fun. Gary lives because for all Gary knows, that’s the real SpongeBob, I hope sandy can figure that out and trick SpongeXML before it’s too late.

So based on other's statements and other videos. SpongeXML deems those who genuinely trust him while knowing that he isn't SpongeBob, worthy as his motives depend on the way a person acts upon seeing a doppelganger. Unfortunately, most victims don't like doppelgangers which led to their deaths. But when that doppelganger is a killer, they fear them of course. So to put it into a small statement; XML's character is dependant on one's trust, seeing if they know that he's not SpongeBob but they still trust him.
Patrick well some would say he is stupid but he isn't in season one he is a chill dude but if we are talking later seasons Patrick would have at least survived

I love how everybody is theorizing (I love these theories) But is nobody gonna talk about Gary legit was extremely passive to SpongeXML and even thought he was the real spongebob? I find that...kinda nice out of SpongeXML to spare Gary with no second thought. I also found it interesting that SpongeXML decided to go kill Patrick on the spot. Who knows? Maybe SpongeXML has an ability to see a character's characteristics. Second, SpongeXML maybe does have remorse? Because the ending tells us that he didn't actually want to kill Spongebob and hoped he was worthy, just like Gary.

It appears most people didn’t pay attention to the ending of the video, so I will explain it for you. This takes place after Patrick died and before spongeXML went after SpongeBob, which explains why he has his arm back. Also, spongeXML said that Gary was worthy unlike Patrick, who was killed by him. This means that anyone who’s worthy to spongeXML is safe to live another day. This also explains how mr.krabs (and possibly squidward) died. They were “unworthy”
It makes sense but I was thinking it might be like sonic.exe order friend normal and enemy since Patrick was first to die because he is SpongeBob friend then Mr Krabs because he is a normal boss for SpongeBob but he almost had a chance by shooting his arm off but die in the process like knuckles manage to punch sonic.exe once and squidward try to run away like eggman back in his lab because squidward is always mean to SpongeBob but little bit nice so I'm either theorizing this last one because it says "they were unworthy" meaning the people died will trying to beat spongeXML and maybe soon coming after the original SpongeBob next

it’s interesting to theorize what exactly it means to be “worthy”. It can’t be Spongebob’s attachments to his friends, as that would likely mean Patrick at least would be alive. What I think it may mean is that one old “7 sins = 7 spongebob characters” theory, with Gary being the only one who isn’t overtly sinful, unlike Patrick (Sloth), Squidward (Pride), and Mr. Krabs (Greed).
its either Plankton or Patrick, the reasons why I think it could be Plankton is because 1. SpongeXML is looking down and 2. it says he locates another soul. This is Lowkey sad, Gary couldn't even defend from Sponge.XML I don't think Gary even KNEW that it as Sponge.XML. To him it's just SpongeBob with a Bowtie on. Which could be justified with "Oh SpongeBob just forget his tie" in Gary's mind. Gary was being used the entire song. I feel Gary was sort of skeptical of Sponge.xml at first but he shrugged it off and decided it was SpongeBob, So since Gary thought this was SpongeBob, he closed his eyes happy that his owner was back home. However, Sponge.xml didn't kill Gary. Since Gary thought Sponge.xml was SpongeBob there was no need to. This is backed up by the line "The snail is Worthy" and if you don't know, Sponge.xml kills people who aren't worthy of life. Now appearently this is before Sponge.XML killed SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs and Squidward. Since sponge.xml only brings up Patrick's name in the end credits. "Unlike that Pitiful star, Gluttonous and Foolish." Sponge.xml proceeds to tell us his next victim, *SpongeBob* He wants to see if SpongeBob is worthy as "It would be a shame to lose him." And "He's my Favourite after all." As we all know in Confronting Yourself and High Sponge, SpongeBob wasn't worthy Since this is a bit confusing, here's the timeline of events -Sponge.XML sings to himself -Faker Cover (Sponge.XML vs Patrick) -Sponge.XML kills Patrick off screen -Sponge.XML finds Gary (This Video) -Sponge.XML claims Gary is worthy and goes off to hunt down SpongeBob -Confronting Yourself (Sponge.XML vs SpongeBob) -Spongebob gets murdered -High Sponge cover -Confrontation -Umbra

I feel like this is kind of a wild guess but i think this is sponge.xml vs patrick. Now i know patrick is already dead but vox bun did say (i think…correct me if im wrong) that they will do a new cover for patrick and another reason i think this is that when i brightened the image the arm didnt look damaged so it was before the fight with mr krabs which was patrick and the bowtie also dosent look damaged so it can be another hint that it is patrick (also i couldn’t really see blood on sponge.xmls arm and ut looked healed so thats another reason why i think it is a patrick cover). Im probably wrong but its fun to speculate. If i am wrong the options are sandy, gary, and plankton (and maybe karen). @@godreaperproductions8853 yeah that could be entirely possible but it depends on how fast sponge.xml can find his victims since (we can assume) that he found squidward quite quickly after mr krabs so his arm didnt regenerate much. But if it took sponge.xml a while to find squidward either he regenerates super slowly (which means it would have taken sponge.xml a really long time to find this character) or they can’t regenerate at all. But you are probably right i think my guess is abit to far fetched but hey we will see if im right when the cover begins

So I have a little theory for where this goes in the timeline of events, at the end of the song spongeXML says “the snail is worthy, unlike that pitiful star” which means they have most likely already killed Patrick, also at the end of the cover they say “now I must test the sponge’s worth” meaning he hasn’t killed SpongeBob yet, so my conclusion is this event takes place In between when spongeXMl killed Patrick and when they killed SpongeBob (also the covers a bop but I really wanted to say my theory)

Another thing to note is that in the description of the sponge.xml vs Squidward video is "SpongeXML hunts down another soul unworthy of life." any character that isn't seen as worthy is killed by him. It wouldnt make sense for him to kill something he deems worthy of life. It makes me wonder what he considers worthy, though. This could be a nod to the 7 deadly sins theory as he considers Patrick as "gluttonous"

(Besides Squidward) yes we did see SpongeBob in Squidwards hallucination but that could just be Squidward having a mental breakdown since those three are the only people who show him sometime of affection and Xml said everyone hates Squidward. Actually I may have a tiny theory for Sponge XML. So you know how Sans is the judge or how Morpho Knight essentially erases people who have majorly sinned like Galactica Knight for him causing thousands of deaths the moment he awoken. . .Sponge.XML could be like that. . .killing off people who may fear him or are too weak. . .this counts for if they have sinned too much, he appars to kill that person off. . . Patrick is essentially sloth which caused his death Krabs is way too greedy for his own good which caused him to die via Suicide knowing that he can't beat it. Spongebob is just annoying and feared him causing his death Squidward was hunted down and possibly died due to his more war like nature, hating a lot of people in his life For Gary, since he did not even fear him at all, and had committed basically no sins, they got spared of their fate
Hello, I’m here to copy and paste the timeline of events that I made in the Umbra cover. So here’s the timeline of events so far that I was able to cook up: First, this Sponge.XML entity came into being in Bikini Bottom. For seemingly still unknown reasons. Due to looking like the Sponge and some of the other videos, it could be reasoned that he has a decent knowledge on the characters. With that in mind he set off with the goal of deciding who was worthy or not, this goal is spawned out of seemingly no reason. And he seemed to have arrived first in a place that’s either extremely windy or snowy. So maybe he arrived on top of a mountain? Regardless, This is why he first goes after Patrick. The lovable idiot who would be an easy start. As he sings with Patrick, Sponge.XML easily kills him at the end. Seemingly by ripping his entire front body out, based on Confrontation. Patrick was deemed unworthy for SOME reason. Then, afterwards, he went to Spongebob’s house, most likely trying to find him. Instead he found Gary, who, seemingly trusted him. Not like how Patrick did out of stupidity and thinking he was SpongeBob, but for some reason Gary actually trusted him. This deemed him as worthy and Gary was seemingly spared. Afterwards he escaped somewhere where he inevitably found SpongeBob, frolicking the Jellyfish Fields for some reason. Upon seeing him, XML immediately dashed as fast as he could. Attempting to murder him. SpongeBob of course ran at the sight of the horrific copy. Eventually; though, SpongeBob was caught. With XML killing and burying him in the process. SpongeBob was unworthy. Once he was done with him, he walked over to the Krusty Krab where he knew a certain crustacean practically lived. Killing any unworthy bystanders in his way. Unfortunately, however, due to this, his existence had stopped being a surprise. Which meant that element was pretty much ripped away from him. This, of course isn’t seen as a problem by him until during his fight with Mr. Krabs, who shoots his arm off before being attacked and killed moments later. Eugene was deemed unworthy. After his fight, XML realized that he’d need to start playing smarter if he wanted to achieve his goal. So, with that said, he went after another relatively easy target. Squidward. Upon finding him hiding in a trash can, the octopus immediately ran off. With XML giving chase. Unlike before, though, Squidward was a much faster runner then SpongeBob; and quickly outpaced XML. Knowing that he had to stop at some point, the bad clarinet player ran head on into the kelp forest. Where he’d hope to stay hidden in its vast size. Despite this, sadly, XML could easily find him; and immediately used new tricks to eventually end Squidward Tentacles life. Squidward was deemed unworthy. That’s it for now. Sorry if there’s some grammar mistakes or some weird ways I worded things. Not the best writer. If I had one piece of criticism for this “on going series” so far it would be that XML’s criteria for worthy or unworthy people is a bit strange? I still don’t honestly understand why Gary was spared. I just used the first idea that came to my head.

From what I can tell Gary trusted sponge xml so he was deemed worthy so who ever trusts him is worthy, I’m guessing that plankton would trust him since he could use him to take over the world but yet he can tell who is trusting him so plankton would die prob

So here's my theory Maybe Spongebob.Xml is a being created by Neptune. He may of made Xml so he can test the other characters worth and see if their worthy of living or are they underseving of life and must die. That's why guys like Patrick and Mr.Krabs died they are both characters who do nothing but hurt others and waste their own lives with superficial things like money and food. SpongeBob and Squidward could be worthy since both don't really cause harm to others but they might still be unworthy due to their lifestyles Gary has really done nothing wrong he hasn't caused harm to anyone and tries to make the most of his life maybe why he was spared. Alright I think it's obvious but I wanna say it, At the end it can be assumed this was right after Patrick, Using the dialogue "Unlike that pitiful star" as referenced, before SpongeBob with the dialogue referring to hoping hes worthy. My theory is SpongeXML went to SpongeBob's house in search of him, found and tested Gary instead, then gained garys trust and somehow got Gary to tell him where SpongeBob is.
Seems like he does, Gary is the only one he considered worthy, he doesn’t seem to kill those worthy because he says “it will be a shame to lose him, he is my favourite after all” so if they are worthy he doesn’t kill them, that’s what is being indicated

so Patrick fought with XML and didnt trust him and lost so he was called unworthy, Gary accepts and trusts XML as to why he is considered worthy, worthy of his gaze of his embrace thats why i dont think Gary is killed here or maybe turned into a puppet, then he meets Spongebob who obviously does not trust him and runs for his life with XML giving chase with nowhere to go he runs to the Krusty Krab where XML has an unexpected confrontation with Mr Krabs, XML sees that Krabs doesnt trust him and considers him unworthy and attacks but before he can finish off Krabs he has his arm shot off angering him more, Spongebob manages to escape XML which infuriates XML so he goes out looking for him where he encounters Squidward who obviously with the arm doesnt trust him and is considered unworthy however Squidward is faster than XML so he takes advantage of Squidwards deteriorating mental state to make him break which ends up working, Squidward haunted by the tainted voices of his dead friends (Squidward would most likely assume Spongebob to be dead as he may have been at the Krusty Krab with them but left a lot earlier than spongebob and would know patrick to be dead as he may have left after the part with patrick singing and would know for sure that Krabs is dead cause hes facing the damn thing Krabs was fighting), Squidward now realising there is no hope for him tries a desperate last attack hitting XML with his clarinet which ends up barely damaging XML but not much before he is killed off (the last attack is my own personal headcanon as i would like to have seen Squidward go down with courage unlike the others who died in fear, hopefully spongebob isnt dead yet) the only others i can see causing some trouble for XML now in his weakened state is Sandy with her karate skills or plankton with his arsenal of weapons

And maybe pearl or Karen for lust. Sponge.XML was sent to murder them for their sins, killing other people on his way if he saw they weren’t worthy, but certain people and animals (like Gary) get spared for not sinning, sponge.XML could have been sent from heaven or hell, or appeared from unknown circumstances, but he has one purpose, to kill.
