As a person who's emailed literally 20 companies for sponsorship (for some reason). I was kindof frustrated when *a specific company* (idk if I should say name or not, but you can see it in my channel vids) said ok and gave me an affiliate link. The vid got views, the link got more clicks than I ever imagined. And got $0 from all that atp they were just taking advantage of me and i should've known that what I was going in was uncharted territory for me. I still would like to get sponsored though. For the money, as I'm trying to self sustain my yt channel where I wanna get money from yt to invest in my channel. And I rlly need a keyboard for a vid I wanna do, a better mic(coz rn it's just my phone with Adobe podcast) I wanna see if I can make the money off of yt itself to buy it instead of making it irl. Although I'm gonna crack pretty soon
Yeah brotha- you just gotta keep going. It’s difficult and hard for sure to keep a level head through it, but that’s the whole idea. If getting a sponsor was super easy then everyone would do it. Affiliate links are definitely tough and like you mentioned you don’t know how honest they’re being with the info they tell you. My best advice is to just focus on making good videos, start getting more and more views, and eventually the sponsors will come to you.
