I remember being FORCED on this ride when i was either 5 or 6 and was terrified!! I litteraly spent the whole ride hiding under the seats. Childhood such an innocent time.

My dad and I always rode this together. Over 20 times in my lifetime, from a scared kid, to a laughing adult, me and dad rode this together every time. Great memories.

This video could do without the sarcastic commentary of the the rider yelling "SPOOOOKY, SPOOKY, SPOOKY!!!" lol ... That being said, I love classic rides like this. Spook-A-Rama is fun and surprisingly creepy once you get into the darkness. It has that old carnival, kitschy feel, but that's what I love. When you're actually on it and things are popping out at you and blowing on you and you don't know which way to turn your head because it's pitch dark, you get some good screams out of it ... and a hilarious photo to remember it by (couldn't help ourselves.) And the Ghost Hunter game right outside is really fun too.

This was a great flashback to my childhood. Spookarama used to have 2 sides. You'd go in 1 side & then back outside for a short bit then into the other side. This video didn't show that so my guess is they don't do that anymore. The thing that creeped me out the most was the string that would touch your head when you went in the 1st side. Thanks for sharing the video!

I rode this ride back in 1964. BTW, I'm 69 yrs old. One of the things you can't see, is there are black strings hanging that touch you at some points for a creepy feeling.

OMG. I love giant rides with loops and shit but the second u make me go on a not even mildly scary ride, the seat is going to be wet. Just kidding. At Ocean City maryland my friend made me go on a creepy coaster and i had my eyes squeezed and ears plugged the whole time

Seriously, cut out the sarcastic commentary, and this ride looks like a lot of fun. I've always found it annoying when people go into haunted houses/dark rides and mock the entire experience. Nobody thinks it's funny. It's pretty disrespectful to the other people there having a good time and it's probably really annoying to the ones working there. It's as though these people want some kind of pat on the back for their commentary/jokes. We get it, you're not scared, you're a big brave man, you'll get your gold-plated set of cajones on your way out. You can still enjoy it like the rest of us without the cynicism.

I remember the smaller Building with the Blood falls and web. Then you zigzag your way to the Bigger building. I do not remember when they discontinued that part of the attraction.

At first I thought only: Oh! A ghost train in the bright! But inside offers the haunted anyway so some good surprises ;)

Most of Bill Tracy’s spooky props are gone by this time. What’s cool was the “Rotating” Pretzel chairs that the Spookarama got off of Canabie Lake Park’s classic Bill Tracy dark ride “The Swamp”. A re-themed Pretzel dark ride, the chairs where sold in the mid 80’s when Conobie closed down The Swamp due to safety concerns.

This ride to be so cool in 70s it started pitch black room then come outside behind water rides in bight sun then go in another dark room where Batman was their and ghosts and witches and some guy getting head chopped off it was so mucj better...now its 3 lousy minutes

This is the ride at Coney Island right the haunted house or the haunted ride whatever how you call it okay the Dragon I was underneath the Dragon and I'm looking up that Dragon had cotton coming out his mouth the next to it it's the Wonder Wheel the haunted house and a scary house supposed to be scary on mute the dragon right
