I started following Spooks because of Matthew, and now can't wait to get to Season 7 because of Richard. Rupert's a handsome dude, I never found myself swooning over him. Maybe I'm just not into blonds.
As a Brit, Spooks was ALWAYS brilliant... HOWEVER, the ONLY series that I have paid ACTUAL money for, (DVDs) are 7, 8, and 9...hmmm, I wonder WHY?!! 🤔 😍😍😍 Could it be that the new boy on the block made my brain turn to mush, my heart palpitate like it would be a REALLY good idea to pick up the phone NOW, and phone 999, and my knees telling me that they REALLY cannot do the job that they were intended for anymore, ie, keep me standing up. I like many actors - but there is only ONE that I would spend HUNDREDS of pounds on, (in the way of theatre tickets - had front row seats for Vanya for THREE performances - bloody Covid!)
@@martinen.5025 I hate what they did to Lucas in Season 9 so much though. Why did they make him into John Bateman? A murderer and a traitor? He could have been one of the best, most tragic characters in the series - a noble hearted person who was gradually corrupted and sank into darkness, weighed down by loss, heartache and the terrible job he had to do. They could at least have given him a noble ending, or like going out bravely in the service for his country.

Rupert Penry Jones is the sexiest. Mathew MacFadyen is totally awesome and so is Richard Armitage but I've liked Rupert ever since I saw him in Persuasion. SO HOT! Mathew as Mr. Darcy isn't bad though
I have not seen this series, unfortunately, too many to catch up with now, but just how did you get the3 most gorgeous sexy men(where is Colin Firth?) to star in the same series? What an accomplishment, not only do we not have this series, we do not have these men, count them, not any like this even-in separate series to compare to the British studs in Spooks and the famous award winning Mr Darcy-one and only, Colin Firth..Bravo to the creator, producer and most of all, casting director, Here we ladies across the pond pine for your British men, blimey, they just blow me away. British men are much more charming than the Americans. And best actors too. So much so that the big American productions (not to say good films) always has British, in my opinion are invited to give greater credibility. It is my opinion.
