Gotta respect the dude. Got me thru THEE roughest times in high school back in 2014. Came out with good music for a few years and disappeared. Makes him all the more a gem
sometimes, it's hard not to notice that smell of roses nuzzled in your hair for I, am struggling to focus with you closing in, quickly on my mind how could I, explain this without bringing on concern, or, put it into words now your eyes, lay heavy on mine calling my return, to the music slowly turn
To anyone saying why is this song titled DJ Khaled Is My Father...please pay close attention to the lyrics. Notice he says, "how could I explain this without bringing up concern" it's simply just how he feels. It's a parallel with just like when you are with a girl and you just like her so much but you can't explain it and you don't want to be awkward in your attempt to explain because you really like her but you still want her to know you like her. I'm sure deep down DJ Khaled knows he's Spooks father, I mean Spook is the best at what he does. I'm Spooked to just be able to hear of the wonders and variations in his tone
The doors that were always closed? I ripped the doors off, and I ripped the hinges off, and when I ripped the hinges off I put the hinges in the fuckboy's hands
+darkmatter96 homie prolly digs the Brioche, shit that looks like plain ole white bread but is actually that premium baked product ya digg. Real classy type shit, yet unassuming, the perfect type of bread for my mans spooks.
The visuals coupled with the sound and vibe is so incredible. Makes me feel like the world melts around me and leaves me to think nothing but peaceful thoughts.
I swear his voice is so sweet and smooth to the ears and the heart. It's like the sound puts you in a different place no matter where you are. Keep the music coming love because it's amazing.
That smell of roses Nuzzled in your hair For I, am struggling to focus With you closing In, quickly on my mind How could I, explain this Without bringing on concern Or, put it into words Now your eyes, lay heavy on mine Calling my return To the music slowly turn.
This song always makes me cry reminds me of my best friend who hung himself and passed away.. and this song always makes me tear up immediately great stuff
Eleven Bravo The Illuminati No, I understand that the whole look from "WITHOUT U" was a joke. Along with the goofy smile with the glasses from this video, but spook has said himself that he hates how people always expect him to be like that. He is a very serious, talented artist when it comes down to it, and no one has to agree cause that is only an opinion, but he has started working with some big names and hes only been doing this a couple years.
I actually agree with this. I'm a big Yung Lean fan and discovered him before I did Lil Spook, but the ladder just impresses me more altogether in terms of artistic talent, age, and originality.
Kevin McMahan Yeah but not only that I generally think Yung Lean is a bit of a gimmick, I like him but Spook has more a conventional way of making songs so I feel they would withstand time.
I think he's much more talented than Yung Lean. I'm a huge fan of both though. Yung Lean is very creative but it's hard to listen to seriously. This I can listen to without a problem. I'm not hating on either, I like them both.
Spooky Black's whole persona, as young as it is, just seems much more polished and smooth than Lean's. I agree that a lot of Lean's music is impossible to take seriously, especially when approached with concern for its lyrical content. I also like them both, and am not hating. It's just interesting to compare the two. I recently saw Lean in San Francisco and the show was pretty bad overall, not to necessarily say that's a reflection of his talents or not. Spooky Black's voice is just uncanny at evoking emotion, and there is some special intangible about him. To me his sound is decidedly R&B, yet both so classic and nouveau at the same time. Spooky's overall intrigue (his background is relatively a mystery) is compelling as well.
Back after almost a decade. I was graduating hs and discovered this. Meant so much to me then and so much more to me now. As I now turn 27, I always come back to this. Thank you.
This kid is so damn good that I am POSITIVE that he will blow up in the near future...But I'm almost scared that when he does, that his music will change
For everyone wondering, DJ Khaled's catchphrase is "we the best!", hence he being Spooky Black's father would make Spooky Black the best. Metaphorzzzz.
I normally don't like bass boosted stuff or high bass on songs, but this song is so fucking good in a car with high bass and nice speakers, every time the bass kicks in like at 0:30 you get full body goosebumps. I've actually pulled over before just to enjoy the song without having to pay attention to the road lmfao
