Spooky Box Club Unboxing July - Saltwater Siren 

I really appreciate the honest review, so many RU-vidrs would pretend they like the box to try to get sponsorships/free stuff, its great that you were honest. It sucks that you were blocked, and that you are getting so many dislikes/hate comments. Seriously, can't the company accept that not everyone is going to be completely positive 100% of the time? I really don't understand why you are receiving so much hate for this video, surely people would rather you were honest than if you lied and pretended you liked the box? I agree that the box isn't great, I love those ghost stickers but everything else in the box, in my opinion, is just "meh". It isn't very spooky either, considering that the company is called "Spooky Box Club". I've never ordered from them but I've seen unboxings on RU-vid and some of the boxes look awesome, but others are kinda shit. I think the hair chalk is supposed to be used wet, so if you still have it (or bought more) then maybe it would work better. Also, I've just subbed to your channel, I love your hair and nails.

I would have hated this box considering it's not spooky creepy at all and that's why we even want it like wth 😂

Not sure why this video has so many thumbs down. Spooky Box Club is very overpriced for what seems like free stuff you would receive in a kids magazine. And their customer service isn't great. RU-vid needs more honest people like you.

I've noticed that in most of your videos you are disappointed at what the boxes contain. Why are you still subscribed to receive them then?

you have to make your hair damp first before you use the hair chalk... otherwise it wont work... it says it in the instructions. :/

I think the box sucked too, but omg your nails are beautiful. Is that just a lace overlay or did you ( or your nail tech) draw it on?

I thought your reviews were spot on. Just found your channel and just started binge watching. I did not think June or July boxes had anything to do with being spooky. Keep to your honesty.

I’ve been binge watching your videos the past two days and really glad u do honest reviews about these boxes. I really want to get subscription boxes and love spooky things but would be disappointed with getting a box I didn’t like that I payed my money for

Okay, I thought your review of the Circus box was a bit negative. Some of these things are aimed at a younger crowd, which is so freaking silly. But IMO, that was the best box till date. I thought I was super picky, but you seem to be even pickier than me. lol I have to say, the Saltwater Siren and the Alien ones are awful. I completely agree with you. And the fact that they blocked you off and CANCELED your subscription is shocking and incredibly unprofessional. It speaks volumes about that company. I don't think that these boxes were ever worth their price... but I guess everyone has their interests.

I think you are supposed to apply the hair chalk to damp hair?

I’d place the mermaid as part of my luggage tag so it can help identify my bag as soon as it comes out. It’s bright enough and kinda cute for tropical vacations. And, the Spooky Box Octopus bag is also great for a trip.

Seems a bit weirdly put together :/ love the sarong and bag but the rest just seems like naff tat!

I think the only thing I would like would be the shampoo. I love homemade shampoos, soaps, and body creams. Love your style!

I sincerely appreciate you doing this. I'm more of a curiosity collector than a fan of all the 'goth lite' stuff which seems to come in the Spooky Box Club boxes. I liked the idea of it in principle, but having watched numerous reviews from various RU-vidrs, I honestly only liked the look of about one item per box on average. Giving your honest opinion on something is not hating. Your other reviews have been mostly favourable, so it isn't born out of some ingrained prejudice. Just because something is popular, doesn't mean you have to like it!

I think if a box is not spooky which is what you SUBSCRIBED FOR, people should be entitled to their money back.

I like the sea themed cloth. The shell jewelry box is cute and the necklace isn't that bad. The mermaid key chain is cute. The hair chalk is a nice touch.....not much to get too excited about I guess but thanks for sharing!

I really understand what you mean! I've had a few boxes subscriptions and over time you start picking out things cause you've had it so long the awe factor is gone? I guess. haha. Even if its cheap its still your money so you expect some things you'll use.

Out of the whole box the one thing I get the most use out of is the bag as I use it to bring my uniform and stuff to and fro work (I change 10-15 mins before shift as people are meant to in maccies; things have become slack recently). I do like the jellyfish necklace but as you say I don't really know what to wear it with. I find they send alot of jewelry that clashes and you can't wear them together. so the silver necklace does not match the gold coloured earings. They would have been better sending fake pearl earrings. I didn't get pearls in my box either. Something they could have done as you say is have a more consistent theme running through this box. If they had ran with the idea of the bag with the giant kracken they could have made it a cthulu inspired box... which would have been more darkly inclined than a mermaid box. The alien invasion box was alright but tbh i wouldn't consider it as anything really goth or alternative. I am looking forward to the next two boxes, the enchanted forest and the victorian one. The thing is before i subscribed when i was watching unboxing before i made my subscription. My first was the midnight circus but i liked the ouija cushion covers from the box prior. I had put off subscribing because I'm not impressed with everything in there. But then I find if you are not subscribed something really cool could come along and then you end up paying more than the subscription box price.. like £30-£35 just for the one item. which you could have received cheaper had you been a subscriber. So I humor it but I don't keep everything that I receive in the box. I do think they need to stop sending out plastic crap.. like the plastic elephant necklace and the mermaid bag charm. As you say it is more something that a 15 year old would like. I do like the lollipops.

I really didn't like Spooky Box either. I went in for the Dead Cute box, and it was really disappointing from the amount of money I spent. (Roughly about $40 because of shipping)

I know this is an old video so you probably won't see this but I don't blame you for not liking this box. I've watched various unboxings and some have been great & tempted me to buy but others are just so boring & cheap looking.

Wait, I think I missed the concept of this.. isn't the box called "Spooky Box"? Why on earth did I not see spooky anything themed in this box? o.o And you didn't seem rude, you weren't pleased with this box, which is normal. You did say even if it didn't work for you, it could for someone that actually likes that sort of stuff, you were being honest, if the person didn't understand then, then they don't deserve to be sending their boxes anywhere. I believe what makes a better company, are the bad reviews, because it makes you focus on what you are doing wrong, and how you can fix it or least understand your public... So sad that you went through the experience of their immaturity. Better luck next time

Im p sure they scammed me i waited 12 weeks for first box in the 3 months each month a payment was taken then when i cancelled i got 1 box surely owed 3 🤔

Hon, you have to wet that specific type of chalk. You don't have to wet all types, but yes that type you can not use without water. I see you commented already that you tried to dampen it but it should be very wet. I have seen it work. And please don't think I am being rude... It may sound like it but I don't mean it that way... I am a cosmetologist of 15 years, and from the south. LOL.

I know this box was from 2015 but, I must say if the box was titled sirens of the sea or whatever it was called, why would she put all those ugly octopus's in it? Lol it was a bad box....

i like the spooky box openings but if i got this one i wouldn't have not been over the moon as am not into mermaids, anchors and nautical themes. But not everyone it's got a like all of the boxes 100% of the time it happens sometimes you just get dud one

theyre suppose to be surprise boxes. The quality of object aren't really expected to be top of the line., just learn to appreciate things that come to you But I can understand why youre disappointed with this

Literally NOTHING spooky here. What were they thinking?? This is almost false advertising... people are subscribed for a SPOOKY BOX. Not mermaids or pirate themed stuff. That's way off theme. People want skulls, vampires, bats, spiders, pumpkins, witches, ghosts..... even if people got the same things but in different designs, theyd be happier. Like a skull ring. Then in the next box, a bone pen or something.

Now I got to your older videos and I think Spooky Box is completely overrated! It's way too expensive for such cheap stuff. I feel bad this video has more dislikes than likes. Because you tell the truth! Toxic Tears makes a lot of videos for it and although I like her so much, I must say she isn't honest on that one. In some videos you really see how disappointed she is, but she tries to make a happy face. So that's a bit sad. I think this box is a scam!
