They absolutely have one of the best bsides in the game right now for sure (Hide and seek is in my top 5 albums AT LEAST). Qhile it's unfortunate that the group isn't so popular, they have such quality music so it's a bit unfortunate seeing them and especially their bsides be kept under the radar. They're the first group I started to follow pre debut (Back in August of 2020) and have gems of members so it was amazing to see Caitlyn react to them. It's also especially great seeing other plory's, not to mention then being your ults. Hope the group gets more attention!

Maybe others have mentioned this in the comments, I don't know, but Purple Kiss choreographs their own routines. Dosie and Ireh tend to be the dance experts, but the others put their opinions in as well. The girls also take part in writing/producing songs. It's not on an (G)I-DLE level where every song is made by them, but a lot of them are, and every song has some input from the group. Pretty Psycho and Ponzona, for example. Swan, Chaein, and Go Eun tend to do a lot of the writing. Also Yuki (the rapper) writes ALL her own lines and if you notice most songs give her two rap-breaks. She's on record for saying that she's inspired by Soyeon (who once said that you're not a rapper if you don't write your own lyrics).

So happy you’re reacting to them again :)) Their storyline, in short, is about a coven of witches that went into hiding after accidentally cursing people and turning them into frogs, and then in nerdy they realise that there are other strange people like them and that they shouldnt be hiding in fear of hurting people. Yay! This was such a fun reaction! If you ever are inclined to check out Purple Kiss again, I think you’d love their pre-debut singles Can We Talk Again and My Heart Skip a Beat. Purple Kiss are up there with some of the best vocals in 4th Gen! The girl you liked in Ponzoña is Dosie. She’s one of the main dancers 😊 Her stage presence is crazy.

Purple Kiss should be known more for their discography! Some of the best bsides in kpop. And so many of them have member credits!! Not just co-writing and co-composing either. Chaein has straight up written and composed a few of their songs all on her own (+ usually with Yuki writing her own rap)
Thank you so much for including Purple Kiss in Spooky Season S2. Many of their titles fit perfectly with this theme, and truth be told, I enjoy their music all year round. Another fan below recommended their album intros (and listed them) - they are amazing and make us crave full versions so bad. If you would like to know a little more of their lore, I also recommend their story films. They are so well done and have a quirky, spooky vibe. I don't listen to a lot of gg but I always check out Purple Kiss. They have something special and quirky about them. I was obsessed with Sweet Juice, this song will def show up on my top Ten songs of 2023 and there was lots of good music this year!
PurKi has one of the best but underrated discographies in K-Pop. Thanks for reacting to them! They're the first group I followed from pre-debut era forward and they've grown a lot. When a group says their name in a song I call it "station identification" and am curious as to what everyone else calls it. The most conspicuous example of a group that does not do it is Dreamcatcher, who hasn't done it as Minx or Dreamcatcher. Out of every station identification I would say Everglow's is my favorite.

Ponzona was a hell of a debut. Purkie are the queens of creepy seduction. Also, the guy at the end of the Zombie MV was Cya/Giuk of Onewe (the bassist/rapper), they're in the same company. I agree with you with the Billie Eilish comparison, especially the dance break in Nerdy. Next time I recommend you react to "My heart skip a beat" and "Cursor" (the vocals are amazing on this one) when you have the time of course because I know your list of groups to check keeps getting longer.😉Being a multistan can be so exhausting !

I’m so happy you reacted to Purple Kiss! And I’m so glad you did the Halloween performance for Zombie. It’s sooo good, I wish it was released as an official remix cause I prefer it to the original, which I also love. But they didn’t just change the song- they also changed the choreo. Most of the chorus is the same as the original, but almost everything else is different. They went all out and it’s perfection. I hope you do more of them. Their b-sides are amazing and I think more your speed in terms of sound. They have a lot of pop/r&b/soul vibes. Even tho their titles focus on the creepy side, they’re a lot like Mamamoo when it comes to having a versatile sound. Also, Swan has already debuted as a soloist and her songs are so perfect for your. You should check out Twenty. And if you want incredible vocals, Be My Everything.

The "What's yo name" girl during Ponzona is Dosie btw. One of the main dancers of the group along with Ireh. Commonly known for having a split hair color in later eras.

You should watch their dance practise videos. Purple kiss are absolut choreo monsters. Possibly the best in kpop at the moment in my opinion. Each of them are fantastic dancers but as a unit, there's few other groups as slick and in sync as Purple kiss

I'd never really paid that much attention to Purple Kiss, but this made me much more interested in them even though I prefer a heavier sound. (I can't believe they made Giuk from ONEWE faint at the end of the ZOMBIE MV, so cute hahahaha)

Purple Kiss is so underrated! One of my 4th gen ults with a strong and solid discography. I only wish they received more love and attention, RBW is not the best at promoting them unfortunately.
