I notice he didn't need to fix a Westermann or a Karlsson spoon knife. Fortunately I was able to get a Karlsson spoon knife few years ago. I don't have six years to wait for a Westermann.

Spoon club interesting I never had issue with my knives do they need to be done I uses my Japanese home made leather strop nice and long for my sword 🤔👍🐺🐾

Great demonstration. Is the comment about the thinness of the tools sold by Robin Wood tools at 9.15 a criticism?

Really useful video, thank you Sean and Spoon Club. Is it possible to use this method of hollow grinding on a standard carving blade?

Well, yes and no. Yes, because you can. No, because by hollow grinding a blade that was probably already flat ground, you risk weakening the edge. It would likely be far more prone to warping and chipping.

Hi Sean, does it mean that before forging the knive to it's final round shape, it would be better to hollow out the straight stock ? Does my question make sense ?
