I think on a reread I would do the tandem read once, but I think for a first time read and any other read separately is superior

this Readathon sounds really cool I haven't been saying up to date with yt videos and just saw this I have MS so it's cool to see books with spoonie rep :) I totally get what you mean when your not feeling grate and a book isn't hitting like you thought it would sometimes I just switch to another book or don't read anything till I'm feeling better

I am laughing so much - I'm like the queen from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I have the opposite problem in that I LOVE Middlegrade and find kids heads fascinating (apologies that sounds really creepy like a villian from Return to Oz, Dorothy psychiatrist or Mundi the witch queen who has a cabinet of heads! ) Anyway I digress - I bough Haven Point on bookshop trip where Jack was saying to Ros "it's good, but if you like Middlegrade" then Read it and thought "This is AMAZiNG" no Jack is wrong EVERYONE should read it. So thank you for giving an alternative view especially as a non-middlegrade reader, why this did not work for you. I now want to see, armed with this new knowledge, if I can suggest a Middlegrade for you - less of a kid head experience 🤔 Really enjoyed hearing your vlog, really good to hear thoughts on your books. I love that you accidentally kept reading Percy 😂 Really good to hear A Kind of Spark thoughts too. Again non-middlegrade reader perspective. But also did not think of how difficult it could be to read. Glad you got to walk and your area/ countryside looks beautiful! 🌳🌿🪻 You could try blinging up your stick and wear it with a top hat and monocle so you can see it as a fashion statement rather than imposters syndrome. Can't totally relate, but as a late glasses wearer (at 11 just for long distance, then 14 all the time) I think it was 6 years later that i saw myself as "someone who wears glasses" 😂 💜📚🥄🥄🥄
