Shopping is a joy of life. Do not refrain it. However stingy we are, we end up more than we need over the years. You are not alone. The tough think is when and how to get rid of the extras. Make peace with whatever habit you have. I may do a blablabla about it.
My grandson discovered you and now I'm also a fan. You are the nicest, sweetest, most creative person I've ever seen. You are extremely inspirational. Thank you for sharing all of yourself with the world. What a gift you are!
hello, its currently 2:30 am where im from and im sitting here watching your video in 2017. im 16 and have begun my own spoon collection within the last few months. you just touched my heart and my eyes with this video. you seem so disappointed in your own story, claiming it to not be one at all, but it is and i loved listening to it. i adore your wisdom and your spoons, i wish i could see your collection now. i hope you are well and still holding onto that optimistic attitude. i just wanted to watch a spoon collection video and i feel like i got so much more than expected. good wishes to you, love val :)
You may be stingey with money...but you are generous in spirit. Your gift is your sharing, your calm voice, your gracious art. I love your art: it emphasizes process (the act of creation), not the product at the end. Thank you so much.
So I just discovered you tonight. I watched your sweet love tea video, saw your spoon box, and became very interested in the spoons. So I searched RU-vid for teaspoon collection videos... and it brought me back to you, going through your spoons!! I am so happy. 🖤
I see this video was made quite a while ago. But I just now bumped in to it and, HAD to comment. There is something so endearing, compelling, humble, selfless, and extremely appreciative about this video Haiying... I can't imagine one single person (of substance) being in the slightest bit disappointed by it. It is not often you come across individuals that don't take for granted what they have, and genuinely believe they are not deserving of frivolous, or lavish things. My personal opinion is it may have something to do with having a humble background, or upbringing, and growing up in a poor country (in my case, Cuba, one Communist place indeed. Not implying you grew up surrounded by poverty) where people are "lucky" if they have a plate of food each day, and a pair of "functional" shoes... This gives you the privilege (yes, I see it as a privilege) of seeing beauty in the simplest things, finding joy, and that much more appreciation for what you do get to have. Oh, and of course :) beauuuutiful collection of spoons Haiying :) Hugs, Jane. (apologies for the long message)
Some folks collect stories. Some collect tears. You collect spoons.... or maybe spoons collect you, our dear hostess? You will always have enough, and I think that is your blessing. These spoons are many.... they ensure you will always have enough.
Being stingy is a good thing sometimes. Like you I don't buy expensive things. I like small simple gifts but never ask for them either. You don't disappoint. Thank you for your videos.
Hi Haiyong. I went shopping today & was going to buy something that I didn't need but, wanted & I remembered what you said about buying things that you need instead of what you want & it worked . I put that thing back. Thank you Haiying.
Please have your spoon box in every video! And your opening line of “Hello friends, let’s have a cup of tea”. Omg I love your videos. I literally watch them every night.
Great video! I'm feeling drowsy as I am into asmr. I appreciate your time and effort. Thank you! I want to add that in the last video I commented and was going to suggest you doing some asmr videos. Then I found this one. You are a treasure.
What an awesome little “act of love” beautiful and something Dear to You and Your Husband✨ Thank you for “Sharing Your Sweet Collection” My Dear Friend 🌺
I watch ASMR every night, and I’ve been loving so many ASMRtists a lot, but I came across your channel when I looked up “underrated asmrtists” you were in the article I read and youre now my favorite 💖💖
I have come back to see this video again because I love your little box and your spoons of coarse you know I love the orange one the most! I hope you got one in Paris this time around
The little blue one is my favorite. I look for it in every one of your tea videos. I can't really explain why it's my favorite. Something about the color, perhaps? It is cool, and blue, and has a little transparency to it. And maybe it's the value that it gives to the others-- it (along with it's orange buddy), being ceramic, gives a very nice uniqueness to the sound, when the spoons clank together, more than would be if they were all just metal. And then with the wooden sound of the box and those darling little fish!-- your spoon box is one of the favorite things about my day! I look forward to watching your videos before I go to bed every night! Thank you for your videos!
I collect tea cups and saucers, but most I have inherited from family. I will buy one very rarely at a flea market or estate sale. A few also from travels. My Father refinished a pretty cabinet for me to display them. I feel guilty if I buy things for myself.
I wish I could just buy what I'd use instead of what I want because I like it, I'd be able to save my money better if I shopped like you do. My husband would be happier too.
Thank you for showing us your collection of spoons, you have some beautiful ones.Could you please spell out the names of some of the shops in Paris,My french is very bad.Your husband must be a very kind man..you pray to get your spoons but I also think that you must drop some big hints too...lol!!
This is exactly how my mom was when she was retired, talking seemingly nonsense things whilest telling a story. She is gone now, but this gives me the same feeling...
I love your spoon collection. Have you been to any thrift shops. I find some really unique things there. I was expecting you to say "HELLO" when you showed the one with the smiley face on it, like you do with your grinders. I am not disappointed that you didn't have a story. You said a lot about the spoons & about yourself whether you know it or not.

They love u very much and listen to u when u say u love something and then buy it for u. I’m the opposite of u, I buy what I want and need and never give anyone a chance to buy anything for me. I also buy for others but I feel guilty to accept a gift, so I buy it myself.
