This was my first Euros (or football tournament in general) that I watched and followed (and to my surprise I actually enjoyed it and was pretty good at predicting the winners). I could name maybe 1% of players out of those 264 though. 😅The most memorable episodes for me are the Turkish own goal, Ronaldo crying, and the Denmark - Germany storm. I was also surprised at how badly England played, but somehow, they managed to win so many games.
Got exactly 200 (76%)... Teams I got in full - Romania, Serbia, Portugal, Spain, England, France and Belgium Teams I almost got in full (only one or 2 players missing) - Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Poland
I also thought it was a very average tournament, even though England made the final (somehow). Some very good goals, but I was unimpressed by some of the 'big' players, so many did not turn up. Mbappe, Kane, Ronaldo- all looked quite jaded. It was great to see some young players making their mark though, especially from the Spain team. I guess this tournament was just missing something. Sweden, perhaps? 🤣
In most tournaments the group stage is stodgy but then in the knockout phase things come to life. This year it was the other way round. Meanwhile Grooty, sort out your camera charging malarkey. You're a RU-vid veteran for goodness sake.😉
Completely agree with you on that one! It was really the knockout games that brought down the entertainment factor of it all... I'll never learn, you know that.
