The biggest problem with Spore is that the gameplay is over-simplified. The five stages don't quite cover the whole history-of-life thing, would have been better if a few were added: -between Cell and Creature, a stage where single-celled organisms form colonies that gradually evolve into multicellular life (no, cells don't just grow bigger to become complex life) -between Creature and Tribal, a sort of "social animal" stage, since simple, primitive animals such as amphibians and reptiles are typically solitary, while more advanced mammals and birds work cooperatively and engage in complex social behavior -between Tribal and Civilization, a sort of 'agricultural revolution' where farming and trade allow the alien beings to develop bigger and more advanced cities -and between Civilization and Space, a sort of phase where technology advances once the nations have been united or conquered
Space stage should've been much more complex. Planets could vary in mass, size, gravitational pull (which lets creatures jump higher or lower or lets the planet have more moons), what chemical elements or minerals they're made of (planets with large iron deposits can produce more iron, which could be used for building, planets with large uranium deposits can produce energy cheap etc.), creatures and plants could evolve and change without the player's intervention, more planet sculpting tools (clicking and dragging would make elevation higher or lower like in the space prototype since there's no precise way of sculpting terrain right now), negotiating with your allies so they stop fighting each other if they're at war (damn I hate that). These are just a few ideas, there could me more to implement.
Yea and here are some that could get added 1.molecular stage here in this stage you can buy cells and viruses will try to destroy them and you need life eccense to feed your cells and if you don’t they will rot away
2.aquatic stage2.0 here in this stage you will begin as a tiny fish and you will be in a ocean eating moss kelp leafs or meat and here are some parts 1.rear fin this fin will help you move faster and make you turn faster like the cilia in the cell stage 2.arm 3hand bla bla bal
This version looks to be the same as the version of Spore we were given. The version of Spore that looked better had a completely different looking cell stage, and the creature stage was underwater.
it is realeasing spring 08, as BV said. As long as they dont make it longer.. again.. The Game is in a process were you can play it all the way through, but they are finding glitches and stuff while they are playing it all the way through..
Cool, and maybe add stuff like Medieval Stage (Between tribal and civilization.) Maybe also add stuff like new parts, and maybe you could go to another galaxy (Andromeda galaxy is much bigger and has more stars then the Milky Way.)
the full game isn't out, but you can download the creature creator from the official website. With it you can create your own creatures and have all the tools you would in the full game.
If you put a pair of wings on it it can glide (They have Bird-like, Butterfly-like, and Bat (Dragon)-Like You can see everything that's gonna be in the game if you buy Spore: Creature Creator (Out now) It's only 10$ and you can show off everything you do using sporecasting
yea and with brand new part s and abilities like chameleon camo or neon parts that will give light and stuf i totally agree they can make much more with spore
the idea i had was to have legs directly under the eyes and have arms in between there and a third arm thats backwards on top with many different spindly things lining the body
And even more stuff, like being able to stay in the water and be a fish, or not even going into the tribal stage and staying a creature, and more options on what your creature can do. For example, currently if you are hiding in water, all creatures can see you, so being a crocodile is impossible. (Also considering that creatures don't need to drink any water!) So being able to ambush itself would be amazing.
here is the channel name ThriveGameIta (you can also search thrive game on google, and find the forum, there will be the download links for the other prototypes there)
i really wonder you fantasy and stuff man! thats excatly what i was thinking! awesome i though i was the only 1 dude! i was thinking about why i was just contolling 1 ship and the other many more i just dont understand that ,and by the way i also agree with you can control all spieces or play like 1
underwater was deleted but yeah knowing them expansion pack will bring and u can fly but its called glide u jump then fly for a certain amount of time so no u cant just sit in air and fly but u can fly around
If you are can I ask you afew questions? 1.Will you be able to edit your creature like in this game? 2. Will there be less child friendly terms? 3. Will the aquatic stage be in the game? 4. When will the 0.0.9 version come out? 5.Is the game anything like spore was supposed to be before EA came in screwed it over?
its funny looking at the beta and then playing the current even the beta looked amazing i really liked some of the creatures i saw but it definately has been perfected
i want to make a cat type thingy, like the saber tooth, but better! :D and then make some thing that flys, if you can do that.... hope so! :D or at lest just hover!
My science teacher brought a book to school talking abouot Spore teh Evolution, and I'm like, what the heck? And when he explained teh game, it seemed a lot more interesting--one it made sense, that is.
@TheRaptorsaur Don't kid yourself, it wasn't particularly due to regulation at all. I seems pretty clear that EA Marketing and the "soft/fun" development team won - handily over the more "sciencey" team - in which Mr. Wright was camped. So I think it would be wonderful if someone , someday makes the basic engine available to the public. What I SORELY missed and I'm pretty sure never even made it out of R&D was an actual adaptive evolution engine for creature auto-design.
