In the world of monsters far beneath the surface, when a single human arrives to destroy every living thing, a lone hero steps forward to stop this rampage; the true hero, Undyne the Undying. In Undertale's Genocide run, Undyne serves as the game's second of only four real bosses, making a final stand after refusing to die. Which works somehow and she gets stronger. I guess she's a Sith or something?

Undertale characters are fun to work with because they're so flexible. They can be interpreted any number of ways depending on the person while clearly retaining their idenity, which left plenty room to make my own version. I was mostly going just for her armour's silhouette when making it, while leaving all the details up to whatever was available. I hadn't done much with Spore's armour parts before, and it only made sense to give them a look. I also tried something different with the hands that was picked up while working on Mangle and Asriel, trying to make hands out of limb segments and convince the game it was a proper hand. It didn't work terribly well mechanically, but I like the final look, at least. The hands were made this way to actually prevent the fingers from animating around the spear shaft and to keep things symmetrical, in addition to stopping her right arm from moving around normally. I thought it would look better if she kept the spear down instead of waving it all over the place, and it worked out... pretty well, I guess. Not exactly what I had in mind, but not too bad. Overall though, I'm very pleased with this one. If you can get past the first minute or two when she looks pretty silly, the armour pulls it all together.
