I met Takeoff backstage when he was in Omaha, such a humble guy and very talented!!! He came up to me and dabbed me up and said "nice shoes brotha" then I got to sit with him and talk to him for like an hour! He told me to never give up on my dreams and do not life take you down!!! He was a role model to me! I cannot stop looking at the pictures we took together! What happened, was sad and terrible, it is like he said, "Bring me my flowers now and not when I am gone." We lost a legend!!!! RIP Takeoff! RIP King!!! Keep rapping and doing what you do up there!!! I am so sad we will never see you again!!!

No celebrity death has ever hit me the way it did with Takeoff. This is the first rapper who’s passed that I grew up listening to and he also always happened to be my favorite of the group. I remember playing Versace in middle school, some people hated it but I put a lot of my friends onto Migos too and it lasted through high school. Their music has always fueled my workouts and it’ll forever continue to do so. Not too many people realize that Takeoff pulled everyone together through his love for music. He was the one who put together a basement studio and all he ever cared about was his love of the music that they created. Even though he could’ve said that Migos wouldn’t exist without him, he was always just proud of Quavo and Offset and wanted them to have the spotlight. Everyone that interacted with him had nothing but positive things to say about him, and that speaks volumes about who he was as a person. The worst part about this is knowing that he had no involvement in anything that led to his death. He The world needs to do better.

They definitely did, I'm not gunna lie I wasn't the biggest Migos fan and I could never tell which one was rapping lol they all flowed into each other so easily but my man oddly was listening to them hardcore the past 8 months maybe and he told me Takeoff was the best lyrically. Not even a competitive thing but that makes me respect him more that most people would probably agree lyrically he was the best hell Quavo said it himself but at the same time Quavo and Offset were in the media/spotlight way more and he never got jealous. I'm sure Quavo is not even ready to think about business and music right now but what makes it even sadder is they didn't just take Takeoff they took the whole group. Without Takeoff there's just no way to go on and that's fucked up. They took Quavos family from him and now took his lively hood. I pray he is able to accept it and not go crazy or end up on drugs. He will never get over it but hopefully he won't let it ruin him.

my peace has been destroyed countless time by celebrity deaths, i can’t even cry no more bro . this one definitely hit my heart though, i can’t even cry about it, but it hurts . i grew up listening to migos man , though i never really acknowledged which migo sang what verse in their songs, all 3 of them blew my mind every time they came out with a new project . all i’m hoping for now is for offset & quavo to squash whatever beef they have, and come together for their lost blood , it’s only right they do so . takeoff’s legacy will remain alive, especially in Atlanta, and it’s crazy i was just in atlanta last weekend listening to them on the radio🤦🏽‍♀️ . I’ll miss hearing the “MOMMA” adlib in their songs . I wouldn’t say i hope quavo & offset make a song to honor him, but that would be bomb, just not right in this exact moment. we shall allow them to heal & mourn for as long as they need, much love to them & their family affected by the tragic incident .

I didn't know TAKEOFF personally but he was my favorite MIGO. I could relate to his lyrics, every song they've made I repeat his versus just to learn them. Woke up next morning to rain. Looked at my phone n saw he passed. Didn't sit right with me especially since it happened in my city. The disappointment I felt. The ENTIRE day while I'm at work, rain. Nonstop.
