Title pretty much says it all. This dude is stacked!! Low body fat percentage! Strong! and just a beast! Check out his freshman image to present time. This dude is awesome!
D. Carter, Brian Orakpo coming off the edge with A. Haynesworth drawing a double-team will = pressure, sacks, turnovers, short field. We just signed Mike Williams OL former first round pick and of course we got Derrick Dockery G back. This season is going to be interesting...I see 10-11 wins...
One of the most athletic freaks the world has ever seen. Weights around the same as Dwight Howard, runs unbelievably fast, incredible strength, and has a standing vertical much higher than Dwayne Wade.
I love the skins and the Orakpo pick but my only question is- Obviously, he is great in the weightroom... but does he have intensity or a true love for the game that LT had?
@TheJJRoth what will really matter is his speed between 10-20 yards. The reason why Wes Welker and Warren Sapp were so dominant is their short bursts of speed.
Spread the wealth, man. I think the last thing you guys need is ANOTHER strong, fast DE. He needs to be in D.C. We'll change to a 3-4 for that sumbitch.
@epajrgolf really its more musclar endurance than anything although it does require a lot of strength to get a good number of reps at the combine it is still not a true indicator or on field play or even true power.
@soonerstd you're right man, i used to do that my sophomore year of football and my arms got tired really quick because i was dropping big weight really quick. orakpo is still a beast, but like you said he could be stronger if he lifted properly.
@soonerstd that was just for show, for the cameras and the documentary. I'm sure the trainers and strength/conditioning coaches teach a world class athlete like him the proper technique
cross-country- as i remember it was a sport that soccer players did in the offseason to stay in shape, as well as one that overachievers did so they could put on their resumes that they participated in a "sport". swimming- shaving your entire body and putting on speedos
Im so happy with the skins taking him, but i wish they would have amde a trade to get into the 2nd round so they could also add Maualuga. Still, we have one of the sickest D-lines in the NFL.
Why is everybody saying you can put on only about 8 lbs a year? I put on 37,4 pounds of muscles from March 2013 to December 2013 without creatin or whatever. Just eat well, drank some boosters from Assault, that's it.
There was nothing wrong with Texas' defense. Hell Texas would probobly had the lead if it wasnt for that play at the end of the half. But Bam's gameplan never changed when they were without Hghtower and Ingram. The differnece was Texas offense was designed around McCoy. He was a 4 year starter. When he went out they had to go to a true freshman who didnt have any experiance. He played well but he turned the ball over 5 times which McCoy never does.
@budboy1988 actually it is possible to do lots of nfl players have put on up to 20 in one offseason and im talkin bout running backs, so 50 pounds in 4 years isnt too crazy
@ghostfase LOL. LOL. LOL. Rak was who I wanted us to get from day 1. However, I did NOT think he would drop that far. He did. I was in awwww. Ironically, none of those other players chosen before him has gone to the Pro Bowl. Meanwhile, Rak has made two trips.
How the hell am I suppose to have dreams and goals after I just shit down my leg listening to the numbers this guy puts up in the weight room?? O_o lol
dude he benches 500+, dwight freeny? robert mathis? bith small guys, both pro bowlers, orakpo will probably play rush lb, which would mean he might be getting blocked by a te or rb on some plays, they dont stand a chance, and he is fast!, he will catch the big o line guys off guard and run past them, and the smaller ones he will be able to bull rush, if he can 1 or 2 more moves to get free from the linemen he will be unstoppable.
And if you think swimming and cross country test endurance and speed then you have to give that to soccer players as well and if you've ever seen a legit professional soccer game (you obviously haven't) then you'd know that a swimmer or someone in cross country couldn't hold a candle to most soccer players in explosiveness, speed and agility.
Coming from a Giants fan, this dudes a straight up boss, even though the Gmen have schooled the skins the past 6 times, I am afraid for Eli's health every time this beast gets near him
Also he isnt 8% body fat, he probably thinks he is but hes not, hes probably around 12%. At 8% he would have more striations in his muscle tone and some clear cut abs showing. like when AP says hes 4% thats a lie hes about 9% because you can die at that low rate. Body builders drop to 4 to 5 percent during shows. and those guys muscles look all Strained and nasty because all the fat thats gone. any lower and your on the death bed. AP THINKS hes 4% but trust me I know alot bout the human body
read outside the lines my friend with the proper nutrition you can put on 50 pounds of muscle and 8% body fat. You just one the the individuals with no knowledge of bodybuilding.
Let me Break it down for all you "steroid-sports lovers" He didnt put on 50 pounds of straight muscle, he probably put on about 30 pounds of muscle, and 20 pounds of fat. but because he was a extra 50 pounds he believed its all muscle. JUST like that kid from twilight, he says he put on 30 pounds of muscle, but in reality he only put on 10 pounds of muscle, and 20 pounds of fat. 50 pounds of muscle in a short time fram like that is im possible, and he would look disgusting with that much muscle.
@dkfjndfklhklfkldfgal What does getting taller have too do with it? Thats irrelivent. If you have perfect training diet and sleep youll gain 10lbs the first year..with crazy genetics maybe 12 or 13 but then next years youll only be able to gain 6 or 7 then the year after maybe 4 or 5 it progressively gain less and less because your body gets used to training. Tm going to school to learn about this exact type of thing...Trust me he used steroids..
@mgrealdeals How much weight and size is acceptable to gain in a five year college career at a premier football school then? I played D1 football and witnessed some amazing natural transformations, myself included. If you work hard, eat right, and stay dedicated anything is possible. Especially when you have good genes, like Orakpo. A lot of the people in my class had never had proper weight training or more importantly nutritional training. The latter makes all the difference.
thts wat they all say they said the same thing to clay matthews, brian cushing, and taylor mays. my uncle is the strength/conditioning coach at Texas tech, and the things they do to u in college is crazy. they make u get ur lift in, after tht they have u take supplements/protein shakes, and then give u omega3 fish oils, and after tht u have a buffet of all u can imagine just for breakfast. they dont let u leave until u have eaten a specifc amount. and then time for class.
Great for building real world strength for swim moves and lateral power while on the move. Great for wrestlers or DLineman where you're trying to control another guy. and stop this Rugby is more physical stuff. They're both great sports, but there's a reason they wear pads in American football. Tough game that has tough effects on the later lives of these people. NFL players have shorter life spans and some brain diseases that rarely see in the real world.
@dkfjndfklhklfkldfgal Wow..I already said a normal guy can put on 10lbs the first year. with perfect training nutrition etc...A guy with good genetics can put on like 12lbs the first year then it will progressively decline every year, Over 4 years a person with perfect genetics will put on like 20-25lbs over that time span..You say haterade...I say facts...
Both of your posts are implying that the sports you enjoy are better than soccer (which is entirely your opinion, not a fact) and greatly diminishes the time and hard work professionals and amateurs put into it. Not to mention you are alienating the majority of the worlds population when you dismiss soccer as an activity. You are being implicitly pompous and you know it.
He looks like Patrick Willis' bigger cousin. He won't be there when my Niners pick. Only thing that worries me about him is that it's always the most muscular guys that seem to get hurt most often. They're always pullin' or tearin' something. Best DE's we've seen aren't necessarily built like this. Look at Dwight Freeney.
@dkfjndfklhklfkldfgal Still impossible...Im majoring in kinesiology, hormone production and minipulation and trust me when I say this he gained 40lbs of muscle in 3 years with staying under 8% BF...He probably used anything from Deca dianobol to testosterone...He probably used alot of it too.
50lbs? in 4 years or less? AND having to do all his football practices etc? hmm... either hes been juicing it up, or theyr lying to us. dont think anyones given a thought to what putting on 50lbs of solid muscle even looks like. what a bunch of BS.
Talk up to Vernon Davis Brian. 6-3, 253lbs WAYYYY LEANER. Benches 495, Squat 675 and Clean 380 as well....oh but did i mention he's just a way better athlete at that....runs a 4.3. So we have actually seen someone like Brian and better I think.
This is the player I want the Redskins to draft more than anyone. I hope Orakpo falls to us and if not him Rey Maualuga. But Orakpo is my 1st choice. He is a Beast!!! Other than that trade down for more picks if possible. HTTR!!!!!!
Does anyone know if he takes any supplements? Not like steroids or anything, but more so of a protein? I'm pretty sure he just has one hell of a diet but I was just wondering if their were any confirmed products he used.
Bama had another good running back but they probobly would have lost without Ingram. He was out for a big chunk of the game and Bama didnt move the ball at all. But its harder to replace a QB than a RB.
he reminds me of Vernon gholston athletic strong they were calling gholston a BEAST but its looking like gholston will be a BUST please snyder draft lineman we need them save our trash OFFENSE
Did Alabama beat any ranked team who wasnt missing key starters to injury or suspension? Now i know Bama endend up with the title, but they got lucky in every big game.
I was replying to the guy talking about Vernon Davis I think Orakpo is Overachieving so far He's to first redskins rookie ever to have sacks in four consecutive games
actually i follow the nba very closely, i'm just able to accept the fact some players in the league make a living off of flopping (verajao, ginobli, laimbeer etc.).
Skins defense is going to be nasty this year. Hope our passing game does something. Orakpo-phobia will spread and he will help for sure to keep the points against us low.
Brian Orakpo, along with Aaron Curry are the best ppl in this year's draft, I don't know what is all this talk about Stafford & Sanchez, ppl love QBs too much.
