With MLB in full swing and MLB The Show 21 a few months in, I felt it was fitting for me to do an SGS episode on the Top Baseball Video Games of All Time. There are several games worthy of the crown, but in this video I narrow it down to what I think are the top 5 best baseball games ever.

Played a full 162-game season of MVP 2005, lost in the World Series… I still consider it my crowning video gaming achievement.

Great list. The original RBI Baseball brings back memories when I was a kid playing for hours. An honorable mention would be Bases Loaded for NES. Fun game but no MLB license.

Oooo man I loved me some Bases Loaded as a kid. (I think) that was the first baseball video game to use a traditional broadcast view from the pitchers mound vs. the batters box, which I thought was awesome at the time.

Great video! MVP baseball 05 is the best! But don't sleep on 04 as well. That game was just as good!

We can even go back to when it was Triple Play baseball 😂 Those were some fun games on PS as well 🔥

The EA sports games in the mid-2000s were the best but some other good ones were high heat baseball and Acclaim for the n64. And yes SNES baseball Stars was absolutely amazing.

MLB 2k7 and 2k8 was really for me on the PS3 it really had good gameplay!! I really like how they did it like when you win the World Series you get to actual see a good gameplay celebration!! And the show 09 was good too for ps2

TBH I wish 2K baseball was still around. Still baffles me to this day that a dev that creates one of the best sports video game franchises of all time in NBA 2K couldn’t replicate that same success with the MLB 2K series.

@@SportsGamerShow Hey man I wish 2k baseball was still around too!! Like 2k7 and 2k8 was really good like the gameplay was epic in unique!! NBA 2K Games used to be good but now they're just horrible. I feel like sports games don't put time and effort to make like sports as a feeling like it used to be. I really hope they realize what sports games used to be!!

@@codyfogle6243 I have 2k7 and 2k8. 2k7 is the best one 2k8 has really bad frame rate. 2k7 with some slider adjustments is the best great presentation the old jon Miller and Joe Morgan espn broadcasters. Reminds me of those summer nights when your freshly showered after playing baseball all day outside espn Sunday night baseball.

Still play baseball stars to this day . Just got done playing a hour ago with my uncle . It's our baseball game . Temco super bowl is our football game . I need to find a good basketball game for us

Tough to pick a top 5 that’s for sure. I liked PowerPros too. One can also argue for other games like ESPN Baseball (which I loved) or even Backyard Baseball. Ton of great games, it’s too bad we essentially have one choice today.

@@SportsGamerShow I totally agree, very tough to pick just 5, and there's probably a dozen games that could make it without seeming too out of place. I don't disagree with your list at all, though mine would probably be a bit different. In any case, great video, and thanks for being active in the comments! Been following you for a decade now, and you always deliver the quality.

@I love MLB the show 2021 2k7 was the best amazing espn presentation with Jon Miller and Joe Morgan and the pre game presentation you see the outside the vendors the people etc
