Yeah he made a mistake in explaining the controller coming with the upgrade auto stop needs to be connected to the winch connector. He left that step out

Just bought a Polaris pro HD 3500 lb winch part #2883578 for my 2020 Sportsman XP1000. I think the dealer gave me the wrong part # as far as I can tell that part is for the 1000s, will this winch work for me or do I need to return to the dealer?
