Thanks for the video. I've always found the VP as an art rather than a science. Many folks interpret low & high volume nodes very differently. Your previous video of using Williams %R to see oversold/bought locations in conjunction with order blocks was a more directly useful concept.

Yes it can be, like all things it’s not a strategy on its own therefore it can become a science but it needs a process and specific market profiles to make it work - thanks for the feedback though

The problem is that you can’t use the volume profile like the way you showed in the video because that’s after the session not in live situations. In other words you got your data after the session ended if u use the session volume profile so that makes it irrelevant

Very good point. When I use volume profile the current day is fairly invaluable until the end of the day. Generally speaking I’ll use it on closed days (previous days) only. I understand this may of made that slightly misleading. I’ll be sure to remake this in more detail but like I said volume from previous days is extremely valuable information. @@PsychFXofficial oh ok I see.. I have tried using it for the Asian session to help me into London session and it works as a day trader but it’s not part of my strategy core because it’s still new to me have to back tested more.

That’s completely fair enough. There are two main types, the fixed version which marks the daily volume however there is also the ‘Fixed Range’ which you can look up on tradingview and that lets you mark it on whatever time period you want - may be more helpful to you intraday! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

5:17 when you are looking at that current POC it couldn't have got pulled up to it. Because it would have only been created once it got there. The current session POC can constantly change throught the session depending on whats happening. The only POC that are set in concrete are ones from past sessions or time periods. So can you explain what you meant please I am finding this volume stuff confusing

Yes you’re right, the easy solution is just to use formed volume. In this case just from the day before. That’s what I do

Not with you...the volume profile for the day is only fully formed at the end of the day. In the video you explain how you (intraday on the same day) refer to volume profile characteristics and the POC for that same day - which haven't formed yet - please clarify?

Hi Marco, appreciate the comment. Volume Is a tool that is far from a strategy on its own and definitely more of an art but the general point of interest I would use would be from the day before or it could be from many days before. I appreciate the feedback and I’m sure you’ll find benefit from my other videos

Thanks :) it’s the best you can do just using tradingview. However it’s not that inaccurate most of the time. To take it to the next level using something like bookmap and our footprint software is how to get much more advanced with it all

I only use forex factory for the economic calendar - yes all indicators use last data. I’m going to remake this video as I feel I didn’t explain it properly. As a general rule of thumb, volume profile readings like shown in the video should only be paid attention to once the session (day) has closed - otherwise it is largely unreliable. This is something I should of made clearer ! Thanks for the comment have a great day! 🙏🏼

reason I dnt trust this order profile.. if the point of control (5:03) you say retail things price is going down then shoots up.. how come before it shoots up there is no point of control there to let buyers and sellers know theres a volume to send it up. regardless of wether theres volume up still must show ... never trust indicators they never gave you clear picture. always use demand and supply price action
