Yep pure raw talent. He did it on his own, transition out of the military is very tough and he’s killing it outside of there! Awesome to see his success, don’t ever sell your soul to them cold damn vampires. Keep doing you, keep having fun on this journey, keep them boys around!
I'm an old timer, Zach Bryan is this generations Johnny Cash. You can feel the heart and soul in you bones there's no mistaking it. I bought the actual CD, wish I could find the CD's of his acoustic music, especially El Dorado, hopefully he releases the full version of that. Keep it up kid and keep your humble ways!
Though he was heavily influenced by Johnny Cash (and I certainly hear that in his music) I more so see him as a modern-era equivalent to Jim Croce, or John Denver, or James Taylor. I'm only 19, but I still listen to the old stuff that my parents listened to. And one thing I like about these singers is that their songs are not only good, but as songwriters these songs are their own. Croce, Denver, and Taylor wrote a great portion (if not all) of their songs, and their heart-felt poetry is heard and felt in their songs. Other musicians I like who do similar things include James Hetfield (Metallica), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Elliott Smith, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, John Moreland, Alec Benjamin, Billie Eilish (with her brother Finneas O'Connor) and the members of the Good Kid Band. These artists have written many or all of their songs, and those ones are usually the best ones. But Zach Bryan is by far the most expressive, and the most intimate of them all. Ever since I first heard my Sergeant play "68 Fastback" when I was at MCT, I fell in love with his music. "Condemned", "Headin' South", "Sweet DeAnn", "Something in the Orange", "Travelin' Man", "Sun to Me", and my favorites right now, "Deep Satin" and "The Good I'll Do". They delve deep into not only the vulnerability and the intimacy and wonders of the human intellect and soul, they reveal Zach's own thoughts and soul. He shows to the world that he is no different than any of us as a human, and he helps us embrace that through his songs. The artists I listed definitely convey that, but not all of their songs do so in such as vulnerable and intimate way like Zach's do. I pray for all the best for Zach and his music! Keep doing what you're doing, PO2!
Most well-deserving artist of all the fame and love he's getting. Incredible lyricist and singer! His wisdom goes far beyond his years. It's awesome just hearing him talk and getting to know him more.
Active Duty Navy, who hated country for the longest time despite living in Arizona and having worked on a farm, and after 10 years, and going through a divorce after 4 years of a abusive marriage now divorce, with 10 months left of service, one of my buddies showed me the album DeAnn. And I haven’t stopped listening to it on repeat. Thanks man. Thank you. Your music is beautiful and it’s fully converted my way of thinking when it comes to country music.
If not for Spotify, I would have never heard his amazing sound. Not usually a country listener either. Stay strong. Don't let someone else tell you who you are.
can’t believe i found this guy in 2016 on twitter. and he is here today. This guy deserves every bit of fame and success that comes his way. Love ya zach keep strumming those strings and making us sing.
where he said “i want my fans to understand that i’m a human being” that meant so much to me, i’ve always said when artists get on the radio it’s like they think they’re untouchable…. zach is probably the only person i’d listen to on the radio!!
I am so happy to see this mans journey from the beginning. And to hear his goal to go back to school and get a degree.... you kiddin me?!?! That's good role model stuff there. And always, thank you for your service!
I'm a Black girl from Chicago almost 40 and I never liked country but I heard " I remember everything " on radio yesterday and he is Blessed and talented. He knows what he is doing.
This guy deserves it all. You can tell he’s seen and experienced a lot of life. I love every story he tells and picking apart the moments that I relate too. Zach is a true singer songwriter!
I remember finding this kid when he had less than 30k subs on RU-vid and he was just sitting on that deck in Florida recording himself sing his heart out
Saw him and heard him for the first time at Palomino Festival last week with Willie and Orville Peck...and was blown away by his live performance and have been listening to him non stop ever since
I am a newer listener to Zach bryan but his music is the only thing I listen to now, me and my family and my friends just sit around the campfires and sang most of his songs together❤ best, most fun times ever❤❤❤❤❤
I recently found Zach Bryan on Spotify and have not listened to another artist since then. His lyrics, music, and personality are just so pure! Thank you for your amazing music Zach!
I have so much love for Zach. I love seeing where he started and the process of how he's got here. And I can't wait to see what comes in the future for him
Just found this guy today and the first song I heard was Burn Burn Burn. It hit me so hard that I just cried and cried. It truly burned a place into my life. Past present and future!
I always see people commenting on artists saying " your music saved me" and I never could find an artist like that. Until now. Zach Bryan isn't just another artist to me he seems like that one true friend that knows and understands you, when I see Zach Bryan I dont think celebrity I think. Hello old friend its been to long.
Thanks for you’re music bro. It’s been a long time without real music. You and your boys are something special, honestly once in a lifetime this happens. You guys sound nothing like anyone I’ve ever heard and I think a lot of it has to do with how real it all is. Keep keeping on brother you’re music helps a lot of people. It makes the bad days better the sad days sadder(in a good way) and the good days better days. You’re making a lot of people proud and helping even more, not to bad for a poor boy from the flats. You and the boys stay safe out there and hopefully one day I get the opportunity to thank you guys in person. I’m not from the flats just a little further north east at the top of nys near the Adirondack mountains in one of the many small towns in what’s known as the north country.
ZACH!!!!! Omg. I SCREAMED OUT LOUD when you said you want a degree. I’m a first-generation college student. I decided to go for it AT AGE 50!!!! YAAASSS! DO IT! DO. IT! Please do it. It’s the most a,aging feeling when you’re the only one out of your family to graduate college. Besides that-your writing is AMAZING. I have no other words. I would give ANYTHING to be one of your homeboys sitting around a campfire listening to you. I hope they know how lucky they were. Can’t wait to hear more from you!
Buried somewhere in an old RU-vid video years ago is when I said this guy was going to be big. Right now he’s #5 on iTunes top albums! Glad I was right so everyone can enjoy what I did at that moment. Nice work Zach.
Honesty and vulnerable. That's what I get from this dudes music. It's fucking awesome. You have to believe the artist and be able to relate to the songs. Dude is genuine af.
Wow I remember when he just started uploading a bunch of videos on YT and Grady made a video about him. Happy to see how far he has already gotten and no doubt still will
Zach has the God given gift of talent that has such a profound impact on people when they listen to the lyrics of his songs. I've followed him since he started and it makes me proud to see him get this far. You can tell he's a good guy and humble.
With all the hell I'm going through your music truly helps me out. I lost my best friend unexpectedly to accidental overdose almost 5 years ago and now I'm losing another best friend in a differrent type of way because my relationship of 13 years with my girlfriend fell apart. I dont know what the future holds but your music makes me feel optimistic. Hopefully I'll live to see you live one day. Have a great day/night everyone. ❤
Out of everything, He wants people to know he’s human. And THAT is exactly why he blew up in record time. Bc he writes about the parts of life that all of us humans go through. I’ve followed Dermot Kennedy since his teen years bc of his songwriting and voice. Dermot writes about his experiences he holds dear in his memory or a moment, where many lyrics that we love bc they are beautiful, they are part of this sort of microcosm of his own private moments, it’s all a series of his memories And it’s beautiful. But, as a die hard DK fan, Zach’s songwriting is as much songwriting as it is storytelling of the same stories we all have. But it touches deeper bc he writes about things so relatable that are just parts of life, and he does it in a way that takes those moments to a far deeper level. He dives head first and DEEP into those relatable moments and brings them back up to us in such beautiful prose. That, And he’s just a simple dude happy to be alive and that’s ABSOLUTELY REFRESHING!!
The music isn't just what makes him my idle. The stories, the experience, the fact that he can have fun while doing something he loves while putting out songs that we love. Just keep it up. Hope to meet him someday
Cheers from France buddy. You are truly the most amazing artist outta there. I just want to say out loud that "someday" saved my life when I was at the lowest point.... Please tour in Europe dude !
From the UK and stumbled across a song when shuffling through a playlist about a year ago and honestly can say this man saved my life. Your music has touched me like no artist ever has, and for so many others. The rawness, passion, anger, sadness, happiness and joy. It brings out so many emotions in a vast amount of people spreading across continents. That’s what real song writing and music is about
“What’s the most import thing for my fans to understand about my music… I’m a human being” I love that, because you can 100% hear it in his music. It doesn’t sound like he’s trying to make a catchy hit song.. it just sounds like he went into a studio with his guitar and started singing from his heart. What a beautiful human being.
When I joined the army with 0 support from my family the first song I heard on my flight to fort benning was heading south mans been my favorite artist since
Great music transcends generations and Zach’s has done that! I’ve seen him three times (Lexington X 2 and Louisville). Headed to the greatest venue in the world; Red Rocks in November. I literally ran into him last year at the Tyler Childers concert. I said it would be amazing to come back in a year to see him…God Speed to another all night Revival from another older Messed Up Kid who has surpassed Half Grown. Something in the Orange of Red Rocks not In July but, November.
Hello, I want you to know just how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. Thank you for your love and support. You are a true fan, and I am so grateful for that.☺️You cannot imagine how much strength your support has given me during a difficult time❤️….I appreciate you more than words can say. I hope you keep being a great fan!❤️☺️ Where are you following from?☺️….
Zach to date has been the most honest, real, down to earth artist I’ve ever watched, listened, enjoyed. He says what he means means what he says feels what he says and means. He really is just a human being. I can’t wait to see where 2023 takes him
i look forward to seeing him live. i have always had a soft ear for this folk sound.. his deliverance and truth in words is a heroic sound to our ears , never stop going thank you. your music takes me away
First heard his music in 2020. I was in the Army and driving home for Thanksgiving. Just cried in my car listening to him as I drove for hours. I've never connected with someone's music like that. It's weird when I listen to his music, I almost feel like I know him as a person, like we're friends. That's the power his music has.
