Of the acoustics that are built on Seas Excelle, these are almost the most affordable, a little more interesting than "Diappason Astera" and Penaudio Сenya Signature." They are demanding in terms of placement from the rear wall, it is better if at factory stands. They have dynamic, fast bass, and very detailed midrange -HF spectrum, especially in the voice range.

@@HighFidelity OK. Thanks for the reply. I'm currently using a B&K Reference 125.2 s2 SS amp that's 185 watts into 4 ohms. A Schiit Freya plus tube preamp, a Nad M51 dac, an Onkyo c-7030 cd player, a Wiim Pro streamer and an inexpensive OSD 8 inch subwoofer that does have an app for dsd. Right I'm renting a couple rooms in a large house and unfortunately I'm very limited with my setup capabilities. I will have the Jamo Concert 8's on thick wood stands that are sand filled. Tweeter will be about ear height. On top of the stands I have the isoacoustics stands set to the shortest height (approx. 4" from the top plate of stands) My cabling isn't too special except for my Audioquest K2 bi wire speaker cables. I have everything except the Onkyo cd player connected to Schiit Freya plus with balanced xlr connections. Decent interconnects. Maybe $200/pair xlr. Cd player runs to Freya with single ended rcas or coaxial to my Nad dac. Basically my questions are should I keep the isoacoustics platforms on the stands or just use Jamos right on top plate with some silicone isolators. I know my subwoofer is a weak point but I have plans to replace that next month with either a REL t5x or something equivalent. My B&K amp is great. Warm, great tight bass, plenty of headroom. I LOVE my Schiit Freya plus preamp. I do some tube rolling with that. Using some NOS RCA or Sylvania 6sn7's. Oh, I have all of my power cords replaced with heavy duty 10 gauge cords. Nothing expensive tho. The Onkyo sounds surprisingly great. I had a CEC tl51xr belt driven player ($1,700) and the Onkyo sounds way better. Should I upgrade my Wiim streamer? I mostly stream Qobuz and use cd's. Probably 50/50. Because of the very limited choices in my room, the Jamos will be approximately 4 feet apart but only 18 inches from back wall. I can't do anything about that right now. I will be moving soon so that will all change. What in your opinion should I be concerned about as far as upgrade order? These Jamos will definitely be my most "audiophile" speakers ive ever owned. Closest I've had were Polk legend l100's and original Kef ls50's. I know this is a long rant lol but to make it easier.....First question is will upgrading my subwoofer help a lot, how much should I be concerned about the quality of interconnects, should I upgrade my Wiim streamer, and should I keep the isoacoustics platform on top of stands? Oh and one last thing is a friend of mine repairs speakers and the Jamos I'm getting have a couple marks so he is going to refinish the cabinets like new. He suggested while they are apart to remove old ferrofluid and replace it with new stuff. He said it is probably dried up and can make tweeters sound shrill or edgy. Simple inexpensive repair. Also he said while they are apart he is going to check condition of copper phase plug and apply silicone to keep corrosion from happening. And he will cut out perfect sizes of no rez and apply it to inside cabinets. Thank you very much for reading my crazy long story. One last thing I swear.....my buddy insists that biwiring is absolutely necessary to get the most out of the Jamos. How do you feel about that? I have my amazing Audioquest K2 biwire cables but I also have a great pair of regular cables too. Just wondering if you had an opinion on that. Thanks again.
These were the best speakers I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. Sold them for..I don't even remember what, but it was a mistake. Very hard to find now, even second hands.
Thanks for the comment! I chose for a long time, and even now I’m itching in search of something new, but I understand that these speakers are a very successful model of the manufacturer. Over time, many similar speakers appeared from other manufacturers, based on the same seas speakers. Visually, I really like "Diapason Astera" but the price is scary. Friends who compared them with "Сoncert 8" say that the difference in sound is not significant.

@@HighFidelity thanks for replying i preferred marantz amps from the 80s/ early 90s did not like the super editions at all. I had the concert 8 then upgraded to the 11 very good and now have a pair of Audio accustics Saphire which are amazing.

These speakers were produced by Jamo from 1997 to 2002 and from 2003 to 2007. Now the company does not have a direct analogue of them, but other manufacturers offer similar solutions. Спасибо за видео, из всего что выложено по аппарату Marantz ND 8006, наверное больше всего раскрывает потенциал, только вопрос, что там за сопли вместо акустических проводов и как совет, уберите сетевой фильтр/стабилизатор или что там за коробка стоит, сколько всяких пробовал, в том числе и очень дорогих, у всех один минус, режут динамику.
В последнем видео показано в подробностях из чего состоит вся система, в т.ч. и по проводам тоже все показано, стоят Canare S11 и Supra PLY 3,4S. Very nice to see a video of these speakers, BUT I do not get the point of playing speakers and judging them on a video, it wont give them justice at all.
@@engjds I hope you enjoy! Most owners change them in search of new sensations, and for converters they are the standard of affordable quality, they live with them for a long time.
@@HighFidelity Yes, tbh I dont think speaker tech has really improved a great deal in the last two decades, those drivers and enclosure are a great starting point, I would being into electronics drive those speakers directly with an active passover filter in the amp inputs and have two amps, one for the W and one for the Tweeter, you always get signal degradation on filters operating at high currents at the speaker end.

@@alexius984 In this video, the speakers are also 4 Ohms, no problems. I tried it with loads of 4, 6, 8 ohms with different sensitivity from 86 to 92 dB. Good control - but with the signature Marantz handwriting (not everyone likes it).
@@MichaelFront Очень странно, а инет хороший и ПО последнее прилетело? У меня в первые дни тоже странно работал, пока по воздуху с роутером дружил, потом прилетело 2 или 3 обновления и подключил по кабелю 6й категории к роутеру, все летает, глюков нет.
@@HighFidelity Тут фишка в чем, то что после проигрывания CD переключаешь на флешку юсб и он просто может зависнуть может работать, даже если не вставлять флешку, то есть пока не выключешь/включешь.
