a very old school style of vlog taking you on a trip to my local spotless water point to collect some water for my next brews. Referral code: spotless31254
Living in North Kent, we also have ridiculously hard water, so I moved over to Spotless water a little while ago and like you, have found it has improved my brews and has made it much easier to adjust for specific styles. Unlike you though, I hadn't yet worked out that it is much easier to fill your containers in your boot, so thanks for the tip lol !! Cheers 🍻
Very good, Will give it another go, Last time I properly messed up with the additions ended up with a very mineral flavour beer. I must of used wrong source profile. Cheers Pat
Never knew about these!! Just signed up with your referral code thank. There's one about 25mins from me, bit of a trek but will be worth it considering I usually blend my tap water with 60% Ashbeck water from Tesco. I just need to get some big water containers now 😅
If it wasn’t so close (5 miles) I would have gone with installing an RO. I had to stop using my tap water it was really hard to match my water to the different styles.
24/7 Pure Water is an alternative for those that don't have a Spotless in their area. Also, probably overkill, but I give the nozzle a spray of starsan before filling up my jerry can.
What a coincidence. I'm on their website right now, planning for my 1st collection later today. Quick question - How long will it 'keep' before a brew? TIA.
So I tend to used what Brewfather recommends so it does change depending on the malts but my last hoppy batch had. 11g calcium chloride 1g canning salt 2g gypsum 4g Epsom salt
