I have one orange hand Lum Tec that I purchased little over 3 years ago and I love it, have it on right now. Just replaced a battery by my jeweler, reset it when it was new and had to reset one more time for the battery change but other than those 2 times it has been very accurate keeping time. I got the notification and was shocked when I heard your voice. Honestly I have never seen you do a watch review, plenty of knife reviews. Anyway, I also like your watch. Mine set me back I’m guessing about 350.00 give or take, honestly do not recall exactly. Wore it most of last week.
Jim - there are so many awesome brands out there that deserve your attention. Tourby, Schaumburg, Sinn, Crepas, Boldr, Meccaniche Veneziane, Haldor, Visconti, Gruppo Ardito, 22.5, ZRC, Movas, UTS, Laco............. By the way I picked up the LumTec SuperCombat B4 GMT. Great to see you back doing reviews. Looking forward to seeing more
Woou, thank you very much for this awesome review! Much appreciated! :) M80&M81 are the best selling pieces out of 2018 model lines! I would like to mention that LT fans have full support in Europe as well...
Thank you for doing another watch video! Ironically, I just recently rewatched your Panerai and Breitling videos just for old-times sake. I always enjoyed hearing you talk about watches and as I think back on the glory days of home shopping timepiece shows, I realize how good of a salesman you are. I know most of your time goes to your knife manufacturing, but please keep these watch vids coming as you can. 😉👍🏻
Wow . . . review for adults. Great tone and accent. Truly informative and unpretentiously knowledgeable. Jee-wiz, really enjoyed listening to this guy . . . and great timepiece to. Thanks fella . . . super YT item
Awesome review! Man, how I miss you on 'that channel'. I love this piece but well into the NBZ for me. But just because you're on a diet doesn't mean you can look at the menu!!
Glad you mentioned failing eyesight...Count me in that category. The problem I have with My Lum-Tec is my eyesight and it's because of the rather short application of the lume on the hands. At night many times when I look at the watch to read the time the lume on the hands only goes towards the center dial a little bit past the numerals making it practically impossible to read the time (w/o reading glasses). I wish the lume on the hands extended more into the center of the dial. The hands get lost in the lume from the numerals for me. I still like the watch just wish it was easier to read at night via the lume. What might alleviate this issue would be to have hands and dial different color lume. BWG9 on the numerals and C3 on the hands or the equivalent (whatever Lum-Tec calls their superluminova)
I recently acquired a very great copy of the M82…… I love it but wish more people learn about Lum-Tec. By the way, do you know what is the differences between the M82 to your M80?
Thanks for the review very helpful. Just picked up a M81 and love it. Review helped be make up my mind as I was debating the 42mm. Also liked the review for the pam312 used to have one just sold it to get some cash at the time but honestly like the m81 better! Thanks
Did he ever say any sizes besides the 44m case width listed on their website? What's the lug to lug andthickness measurements? "not overly thick and not overly heavy" isn't very helpful.... Especially when it looks like you have hands the size of bear paws... Lol
These are junk. I owned one once, it was the worstwatch I’ve ever owned. The crown stem wobbled like a duck. The case finishing was amateurish. I traded it for a Bulova. That’s how much I think of them. Get a Damasko instead they are a much better brand.
