Excellent Video. You can save yourself a few minutes and a bit of walking by crossing the wooden bridge just before the Runway Tunnel. Walk through the tunnel on the other side and turn left as soon as you exit the tunnel. Stay on this path past the Crash Gate and the path bears right at the stone blocks. At the end turn left and go 25 yards and you will turn right into the field where the Landing Lights are.
Wow John..that was great to see how you get to the ✈ spotting spot..thanks for sharing with us ..quite a mucky walk for you all...lovely to see your dad and little Josh too...(Jules Sea in chat)❤
Excellent information there. I'm a wilmslow boy, but now reside in East Devon. Grew up around MAN but moved away in 1990. I'm sure your video will be really useful to spotters and photographers alike.
Really great spot to view and video etc, but I'm surprised they haven't stopped this. Back in the 1990's there were many spotting places but they shut them down when they became to popular. You should of kept this one to a few people matey.
Thanks for watching. In my experience it never really gets that busy up there because it’s quite a walk and there’s no facilities etc. I think we’re safe from the crowds at the moment 🙂
i hate hate hate easterly operations at manchester, the 05L/05R runways have barely any good spotting areas as the runway park is often very busy snd the fences are too high. stockport approach is better
