Joint bank statement point for extension - Can it be a good supporting document? Yes. Will it be a big mistake if you don't have that? Not at all! It is very normal in Canadian culture to manage your finance separately. Some other documents to prove that you are together in Canada: 1) Same address on License 2) Lease having both the names 3) Bank account statements showing transaction to each other's bank accounts 4) Photos of Travelling in Canada You already have proved your marriage in initial SOWP application, it is not a deal breaker in extension.
On January 30, 2023, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) made it easier for spouses of work permit holders to receive an open work permit. Normally, only spouses of workers in a NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 positions were eligible for a Spouse Open Work Permit to work in Canada. With this new temporary 2-year measure, spouses of workers in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are eligible to apply for an Open Work Permit.

You guys are outdated.. Now, primary applicant can do any category job to get his/her spouse 's SWOP extension. 30 hrs job per week (paid/after deducting break time) is considered as a full time job. you guys are talking about NOC A, B, C but now it is NOC TEER 0-5. guys, comon update yourself

Can you let me know if my SOWP is expiring on 15th April 2024 and my wife's study is going to be finished in December 2024? So, she must apply for the work permit in Jan,24. I am in India right now. Hello. Thank you so much for the video. My husband got his PGWP approved but my SOWP EXTENSION was refused . The reason pointed out to *Not submitting enough proof that your spouse is working under NOC level job* But as per his position (Retail lead/Retail supervisor) , he does hold TEER 2 . So I will be reapplying my SOWP again including another proper document . Could you kindly let me know how long will it take to get it approved

@@sundeepkumaroad I am kind of in same situation right now now like I applied for pgwp and still waiting for the work permit and my husband’s work permit is going to expire in dec so i want to apply sowp extension for him so do i need a specific job and pay stubs beacause when i created his gc account and answers questions in documents list id did not asked for any job letter or paystub. Also there is a question like do your spouse have valid study permit but i applied for pgwp so should yes or no there.
@@ramanjeetkaur980 I am not really sure about it but I guess you should apply for your husband’s work permit extension after you get your work permit because they usually extend spouse’s work permit till the expiry of your work permit. As far as job is concerned I guess it’s not needed because same when I applied I didn’t get asked for specific category job or documents related to that. But I would suggest to still do more research because I am not expert in this.

Hi! In your case best thing is to submit proof of your wife’s job letter along with maternity proofs. Also submit whatever pay your wife is getting either from government or from employer. Hope it helps!

You do not need to extend that. Make sure your husband includes you in that PR application. Then automatically your visa status got change. Hope it helps!

Yes, that may be a red flag for immigration officer because full time job should not be having any end date. It should be permanent full time job. You need to talk with your employer to get another contract without any end date. Hope it helps!

@@njcanadianvlogger No bro, i checked with the immigration lawyer, you can apply using part time job as well, just need an offer or employment letter stating the role and responsibilities and it should fall between tier 0-5 along with 3 recent payslips and many people got approval for the same
