Dude, stop! My girlfriend already thinks I'm a trash horder and when she asks: "can I throw aways the empty soap bottle" and I reply with 'no! I need it!' I dear it will be the end :-D
lol he has a video, or 5, where he says pretty much that exactly. but also has another to go horde your friends trash too for these projects because one hoarder is not enough! lol jk. So your challenge is to get your neighbors/friends to hoard for you so the gf is happy.
Stuff like this makes me look weird in any grocerie store! People are like "why is he staring at that shampoo shelf for minutes like .________. did I miss something in there?"
OMG! Is that where brussel sprouts come from? Oh. Wait. I just put two and two together. Bugger, 60 years avoiding brussel sprouts and I just worked it out. And I thought Belgium was a nice place. 😃.
Looks pretty cool, reminds me of something Kevin O'Neill would draw in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I'd also like to highly recommend that comic book series to anyone looking for inspiration for cool and weird retro scifi vehicles.
I just thought that it would be fun to do two nearly identical builds with vastly different paint schemes, like one is post apocalyptic and another straight science fiction, like Star Wars or by Simon Stålenhag.
It’s like asking which kid you like best….totally different styles. Bill added more obvious contrast in color, your contrast is more subtle. You made something from the body of the bottle, bill likes beading. Both excellent and extremely interesting builds from my POV. I could examine them for hours.
"Too many spray bottles were harmed during this process"🤣 Ok, this is one of the most beautifull post apocalyptic-steampunk pieces of machinery I've ever seen. Well done Gert! Just bare in mind that if you talk to God, you are religious, if God talks to you, you are probably on weed, or you need to wear that cosy very-long-sleeved shirt that ties behind your back.
Hi gert. I love your videos. I propose a little challenge. Paint whit the cheapst acrilycs. (in my contry good acrilycs are very expensives). And thanks for your great teaching and help. Greetings from Medellín Colombia. (sorry for my english)
This is stunning, Gert. The shape and detailing are very unique and provide a great steampunk aesthetic topped off with some gritty but controlled weathering.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop it is so true that we are our own worse critics. But hey, if we can look at what we produce and see the flaws it makes us strive for better next time.
A bit late to the party, but this was great...so comprehensive, Tex (or Hex, or whomever You are). Divine intervention, nagging philosophical questions, pop music trivia, bordellos (thanks for not sharing more than your happy mug), magic tricks, safety tips (completely ignored) and one flippin' cool challenge build. I like these collabs...introduced me to a new venue...great stuff, Rex!
Err that is a fascinating hover train type monstrosity DM.... l subscribed to Bill's channel a cool,e of days ago and he highly recommends your channel..... l think 🤔.... well he said go check your channel out if you must 😉 something like that
So, for the vote... Gert, you did good, but I would rather have Bill's. LOL I think you have more skill with the "stick it together" approach, but I think his is more interesting.
i noticed at the back of the train engine here you put a sort of connecter? my question is are you going to add more cars to this or something just a question?
@@DarkMatterWorkshop But you are a better painter than Bill, Ill give you that. I will follow your steps here to paint my 1:35 Opel Blitz. No oilpaint shit, thats good.
What do you use for hardening the super glue ( that white powder ) ? Flour ? Or Natriumbicarbonat ? Or baking powder ? ( I commonly use Natriumbicarbonat )
In answer to your question, because you can’t grow roses without manure. Great build. I know the 40K community will defenestrate anyone who tries to use non-GW models in competitive play, but they couldn’t complain about the use of scrap-builds as terrain could they? Feel inspired by both your videos to give that a go. Sure, building terrain is more fun than playing 40K anyway... :) EDIT Just saw the next challenge is for scatter terrain. Feel a bit stoopid now.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop ---- nooooo. The G is in the vagina. The P is the prostate, and that's at the end of the penis, whose root goes allllllll the way to the wall of the anus. So, no, not the same at all.
