Hey coach just curious what school do you do this at and what years did you do this at and what was your success not trying to call you out in anything but just curious cause I wanna watch some film on it and I want to see how good a quarterback can turn into when switching from a straight wing t to the spread wing t. Because I always see how quarterbacks from the wing tea struggle and then once they get into a spread they burst

In HS football you have to run a specific offense based on your players and size available. The 3 backs should be pretty much equal in size and athleticism. The most crucial of the T formation is carrying out your fakes and tucking the ball with a bent over posture until past the line of scrimmage. Backs should be powerful and able to break physical tackles since there rarely will be any scott free touchdowns. They are all usually earned. Must have a solid offensive line. if done well the T can be very effective. If its sloppy its not beneficial and after the first qtr defenses will catch on. Great offense if done correctly. If size isn’t your thing but speed is.. consider the single wing offense. If you have height, a good quarterback and athletic receivers go with the spread. HS football has a lot to do with the coach and well made decisions. Disciplined practices and good player dedication goes a long way. Work with what you’ve got and you can be very successful. My home team went 14-0 to win a state title with 14 players. I like your combo offense you’ve created. Takes some time and lots of practice to combine 2 offense’s without confusing your players. But if you have kids that are determined to learn and put in the time it’s definitely worth it. Great videos man 👍🏼

On a scrape exchange from the end crashing and LB playing the outside C gap. You are playing inside zone with seven or eight defenders in the box? I would be throwing some sort of relief screen all day until they moved a defender out of the box. We usually align in zero or ten personnel so we don't run into a six man box. We rather attack the perimeter with either a pin and pull (if we go eleven personnel) or pull takeover sweep and 99% of the time run into the boundary. I know a lot of coaches would rather run to the field on a sweep but I feel that defenses play a five tech with their rush end into the boundary and he is usually the less athletic of the two ends. The field end is normally in a ghost seven tech or a nine if we were in eleven personnel to the field. He is also the most athletic D lineman they have. So we read him on both sweeps away from him and if he knifes through we pull and replace unless we make a midline call off the 1 tech. If they play five or six in the box we would call inside zone so we can account for every defender. And a seventh and you might be able to muscle or counter and get yards but it's a game of not banging my head against the wall and exploit the open grass.
