I've considered one of those big litter buckets but how good can you see the front edge? I use my skid steer in the chicken house a lot to clean out corners when I'm wind rowing and I don't like not being able to see the bucket edge.
With this bucket you can’t really see the edge. I like it a lot though. Unless you just angle it a lot it’s still hard to dig up the floors. If you already have your houses windrowed and start out on the ground level to clean out the corners then it makes it even easier to not dig into the floors. Hope that makes sense. A local metal fab guy actually built that bucket for me. It’s a little over a yard. It’s 74”. I have an 80” bobcat bucket I use also for the same thing. I also have a 100” bucket but it’s not very good for litter. I don’t have a machine stout enough to pick it up when it’s got a lot of litter in it. It’s good for loading sawdust though.
