That's trapping... and I didn't see one bad day. Put that old victor back together and put a spot weld on each jaw tip so they cant pop back through the holes. Hope that helps brother.

Can’t always make the catches but there is always plenty to learn even if it’s hard to see at first, with that long spring I’ve had same thing happen to me what I’ve seen is people putting a bubble weld on the end of the jaws so they don’t pop out since they don’t have a bend in them like modern style ones do, thanks for sharing all your adventures of the trapline this year you and your family have a blessed week!

We don't catch them all the time Brother! I still haven't caught that ol crafty beaver that's living alone in that house. Think if I could get out to the house and put a couple traps in the runs I would get him, but now geese are nesting on the house so I don't want to disturb them. Mother nature wasn't lending you much help with the water level dropping. You'll catch em next season! Take care Brother

Good job. Lots of grouse around here as well just hanging out on the sides of roads or the middle of the road. Sucks you didn't get that beaver but that's trapping.
