Ultra satisfying jobs on my 1981 Cape Dory 28 sailboat. A lot of teak on this boat and I like to keep it natural which means one big scrub, brightening, and re-oil per year. I also applied new Kiwigrip non-skid to the top deck surface with some spectacular results. And bonus - the bilge mystery is finally solved

Repair that piece of wood at the aft of the cockpit by removing, glue together and clamp up well. You'll hardly know there was a split at all.

There may be an anti-siphon check valve in the water pickup that has jammed open. You might yet be able to permanently solve your issue.

Great channel A fine 28 ! So the original no skid with just a cleaning would not accept the kiwi? How long to remove the existing non skid on starboard side - tools ?. Thanks CD 27 Go O’s
