Y’all his name isn’t Springtrap until after he gets springlocked, I know William Afton is usually called Springtrap. Phone guy calls him Spring Bonnie in FNAF 3

The yellow rabbit is such a mysterious and creepy name it fits the character well

In case anyone is still confused: Spring Bonnie = The animatronic spring lock suit worn by William Springtrap = William's corpse trapped in said suit after getting springlocked And, yes, these are the official names He has been referred to as "Spring Bonnie" in FNaF 3, FNaF 4, FNaF World and The Ultimate Guide He's called "Springtrap" in FNaF 3 (extras), The Twisted Ones and Fazbear Frights Some of his aliases include: Yellow Rabbit Yellow Bonnie Golden Bonnie Though, now I'm kind of curious, will they call him "Springtrap" in the movie sequels or will he just continue to be know as The Yellow Rabbit...?

I guess the name is because: 1) Springbonnie would be just an internal name to call by the employees that know the springlock mechanism. 2) His real name is probably just Bonnie as a character with Fredbear 3) The Yellow Rabbit sounds how he would be called if it was some sorteo of urban leyend among people in that town, since they probably just forgot about the name of the mascot due to the pass of time.

Fun fact! Markiplier gave "yellow bear" his name golden Freddy when he's jumpscared in his first playthrough. Scott liked it so much he used it for all the other games. 😀

What always confuses me is how people explain dead bodies in their homes after everything is over, and everything is back to normal. No investigation, no charges, no nothing. The charecter just keeps living his/her life like nothing happened

The Fnaf movie is supposed to follow the original novel trilogy and the souls do refer to him as either “Our Friend”, “The Man who Hurt Us”, or “The Yellow Ranbit” so maybe that is why

It makes sense he hasn't been springlocked yet so hes not springtrap and i realized that the boy in the beginning of the movie who mike thought his dad was a kidnapper makes sense why he acted so violently his brother was kidnapped and he didn't want any other child to go through that

It could also be because the children that Afton killed, since they were young, simply only knew him as just that- “the yellow rabbit”. Maybe they knew the name of the bunny at one point, but it’s kind of been pointed out a number of times that, as Charlie says, the others are like animals, hence why they went after numerous night guards, even ones that didn’t match the description of Afton, because their memories have been stripped down for the most part, to simple details: adult, night guard outfit/ yellow rabbit with a knife. Charlie/Puppet only kills when her music box runs out, while the others go out of their way to attack and attempt to kill the night guard for no reason other than they THINK that’s their killer. My own theory regarding as to why Charlotte only attacks when her music box runs out, is essentially that it’s a comfort item. The sound of that music coming from the Puppet itself might have been the very last thing she heard before she officially passed on into the Puppet, serving as a sort of comfort for her. After all, the Puppet went after Charlotte, and kept going, even as the rain corrupted its body and broke it. It may not have been “alive” but to Charlotte, it serves as a reminder that someone was looking out for her, even at the cost of their own “life”. She may be more aware than the others, but in the end, she is still a child and latched onto something to keep her “sane”.

'Spring bonnie' sounds more like an 'inside' name for the pizzeria employees, because (if "golden" pizzeria and fnaf 1 pizzeria existed at one time) it would help to separate bonnie(the blue one) and spring bonnie ('spring' as in 'spring-lock', 'spring bonnie' as in 'bonnie with spring-locks' or 'spring-lock bonnie')

it’s also because they have no reason to call him spring bonnie. Spring Bonnie as a term was made because it’s bonnie, with springlocks. from a lore perspective it’s not like kids during that time period we’re like “Omg it’s spring lock bonnie!!” or anything, and they have to differentiate from his real lore name because during that time period of fredbears, they just called him “Bonnie.” So yellow rabbit makes sense

Yellow rabbit just kinda gives off this aura of mystery and terror at him not having a defined name. So they probably just did it for the aura and because the missing kids probably wouldn't know "Spring Bonnie" or since it's been so long they'd have forgotten and regressed back to his primary features

I honestly liked Battington's name for it, Bonnie Bun. We named the animatronic "Springbonnie" because of the springlocks it contained, but the true name is obviously different, as no customer would want to see it just because of the springlocks, and it wouldn't be Yellow Rabbit, as it wouldn't be very marketable (like seriously, why would anyone name its mascot yellow rabbit). The bear already has its canon name, Fredbear, so it would make more sense that the rabbit would have its own unique name.

If I remember correctly the name yellowbear was just because Scott didn't have a name for him yet and in Fnaf 2 it would be Golden Freddy since Markiplier said it in Fnaf 1 and Scott liked that. So yeah that feels like a little Easter egg, also hope the suit is called SpringBonnie next time to help the name transition into Springtrap make some sense.

The reason is much simpler: he just wasn't a springtrap yet, + nobody but employees usually refer to the animatronic as their official names (such as "spring bonnie")

The reason he’s called “the yellow rabbit” is because of: FNaF 4 lore: fredbear and springbonnie were partners in 1983 FNaF 1 files & lore: fredbear= golden freddy in the game files golden freddy is called: “yellow bear” FNaF 1 & 4 lore combined: so golden freddy is called yellow bear and springbonnie was a partner of him so thats why he’s called springbonnie

Spring Bonnie is just a stupid name in general. You wouldn't want the kids to know about the springlock mechanisms due to keeping the fantasy and fun aspect alive in their minds. I personally call it Yellow Rabbit.

Spring Bonnie feels like a name that would have never been used in game lore if Springtrap wasn't his name in the third game. This "Yellow Rabbit" Name makes sense given that is him, he is a Yellow Rabbit. And, the kids are young, naïve and too misunderstood to come up with such names. The drawings, the soundtrack music and even the names feel like the kids named them, the kids wrote them, they found them. The kids were dead and controlled yet their consciences were still alive and thriving from their own individual minds. Their souls were trapped but the one thing Afton couldn't control was their minds.

The reason he's named the yellow rabbit is because his sprinlock suits mechanisms haven't clicked onto his body yet so his suit is in post springtrap era which means the yellow rabbit we see in the film ( and hopefully in the second one) are set in the lore probably around when afton took apart the animatronics in the fnaf 2 minigame

William Afton wearing the spring Bonnie is just called spring Bonnie. Once William Afton dies inside Spring Bonnie and comes back he says his name is now Spring Trap

The actual answer is in the silver eyes because in page 378 it says “Charlie is face to face with the yellow rabbit” just like in the movie but instead of Charlie it’s mike.And also in the the graphic novel version you can see the animatronics dragging William after getting springlocked just like in the movie

Just so everybody knows, this is not Springtrap. You can tell for a few reasons. 1.) William (up until the springlock scene) is in the suit, still alive. 2.) William isn’t a rotting corpse in there. 3.) You can clearly tell that this dude is indeed Yellow, not the green color that Springtrap usually is 4.) He has a bowtie, when Springtrap doesn’t 5.) He has 2 buttons, when Springtrap has 1

Yellow/Golden Rabbit makes way more sense than calling him spring bonnie. Bonnie is purple. Yes designed the same, but not the same character at all. Springtrap after he dies in the suit of course. Then Glitchtrap when he transfers his consciousness onto a chip and into VR. And eventually Burntrap when he survives the Pizza Simulator fire and comes back in Security Breach but still has his glitchtrap powers over animatronics.

Well I've always been saying that the name "spring bonnie" makes NO sense considering he came BEFORE normal bonnies. Why would they specify spring bonnie if there's no other bonnie to differentiate him from??? I always thought the name Bonnierabbit fit nice because of Fredbear.

The only scene in this movie that genuinely made me go "oh yeah, that's fucking terrifying" is the scene where William first shows up in suit. The way he lurches around the corner, body hidden in the dark greyscale of the shitty flashlight, the only detail to be discerned are those piercing white pinpricks that are the suit's eyes, that was genuinely really fucking scary. Too bad he immediately walks out into the light afterwards.

Springtrap is a fan given name, the character was originally called Yellow Rabbit Edit: In the game he is named as SpringBonnie, never Springtrap until UCN Edit Again: My bad, apparently it was in the FNAF 3 Gallery

when I was watching the movie. I noticed the part where mike was talking to Abbys teacher while abby was drawing outside. on the white board if you look close enough. it says musician, puppet, bear, bunny, manager, fox, and chick. those are the words that stood out to me. and those are just the sight words for the kids.

From my memory the only reason why yellow bear and yellow bunny are a due is because William Afton (yellow bunny) stuffed the wrong person in that suit or killed someone more dangerous than him so yellow bear haunts him where ever he goes

You see the producer is naming William Afton. The yellow rabbit is actually a reference to the color, pursuit, being yellow and being shaped around a rabbit.

I think there’s a reason the two are called yellow rabbit and yellow bear instead of there actual names because after the bite incident fredbears family dinner closed for good so Spring Bonnie and fredbear were forgotten probably for the best and that’s why they are called yellow bear and yellow rabbit, plus the children call Spring Bonnie the yellow rabbit and golden Freddy’s/fredbear’s name wasn’t even mentioned in the movie.

Spring Bonnie has never been anything close to a canon name because the first Bonnie wouldn't have a modifier before his name, in the same way that Fredbear isn't actually called Golden Freddy or, by this name's logic, Spring Freddy. Spring Bonnie has just been a convenient way to refer to the Fredbear-era Bonnie.

I never liked the name spring Bonnie. It makes sense when the idea of spring being a prefix for “Bonnie” but the idea of it being a stage name implies that being a springlock suit is something that the character itself is. It’s like if you saw Mickey Mouse at a theme park and called him suit Mickey.

Im glad they aren't using the more Game-ified names like Purple Guy and etc.... because from an external point of view us calling them that makes sense but it would so so dumb for the in universe characters to call them that too.

A weird part of the movie is when we see the picture of 1985 springbonnie, it looks different than the one we see attack mike, the head looks different with the withered one looking more like a hamburger, and the ears more straight than in the picture, idk what this implies but they might not be the same springbonnie

I read the silver eyes series a while ago and I think I remember spring bonnie only ever being called “the yellow rabbit” up until he spinglocked, that could be why. It’s honestly just a creepier name too, makes it more ominous
