"Wasn't a classic ... " What?! "Hey, y'all remember that turkey hunt when Steven forgot to chamber a round and almost missed his Osceola?" "Oh, yeah. Wasn't that the same hunt Robert bolted after a tom and pulled a butt muscle? Classic"

I love the joy in Robert when you’re telling him the story of your turkey. There’s joy in what we do and in sharing what we do. Joy in the hunt, joy in the harvest, joy in the friendships, and joy in the sharing of a meal!

When I heard that CLICK... I literally high pitch chuckled like Steve because that’s Murphy’s law for ya. He’s lucky that Tom was so in to that decoy not to have moved while chambering a shell.

Thanks for being a “turkey geek” Steve. This video is the episode that convinced me that I too am a turkey geek and that a guy with an “average budget” could and should do a “grand slam” if he wanted to badly enough. Ultimately, this episode is responsible for inspiring me to do my own “slam.” Thanks also for being such a good representative to the public of what hunting and consumption of wild game are all about. Say “hey” to April Vokey the next time you fish with her and “keep fighting the good fight!”

Late-adult-onset hunter here, I am learning so much from your videos and I appreciate everything you offer us. I particularly like that it is not always a perfect hunting day every time. I love to see that even a very experienced hunter like you makes little mistakes once in a while (like that unloaded chamber!) and they don't get removed on editing. That is real life and it is great.
