I was sick with a debilitating disease ...doctors were giving me all sorts of DIFFERENT diagnoses. It was playing havoc on my spirit and mind. So, one day I decided to make a fairy cottage, out of scraps found around our home and my former craftroom. At first I couldnt walk without my husband's support. He would get me settled in a cushioned chair at a desk In our bedroom. I would give him a "list" of things and scraps to find within our rural farmhouse. I started slowly, using a medium sized wooden crate laid on its side as the base of the fairy cottage. Slowly, each day, I would keep my mind relaxed, thinking how fairies would build their home...and it gave me moments of joy and release of worry. My husband enjoyed the fanciful ideas I created, so he started bringing in little sparkly stones, a twisty twig....to see how it would end up becoming part of "the fairy home." Finally, just as I finished the "cottage" ...an expert specialist doctor ....came up with the CORRECT diagnosis of my puzzling disease. I was given, injections, special diet, and an iv treatment similar to chemo. I slowly regained my health back! I knew I had walked thru the dark clouds and was now in sunshine again....when I was able to do a daily 4 mile walking exercise regime! My beloved husband was by my side, cheering me on! To relax, not worry about a relapse, I contined to make fairy dwellings....creating a total of 10 fairy buildings and then donated them to my county library. They LOVED them and do a fairy-themed Spring theme month-long program around them, including classes on making fairy gardens, creating fairy dwellings, books on fairies read-aloud times for young children...and as a finale...they host a Fairy teatime luncheon, which helps raise funding for the library. I can't wait to see your imaginative minature dollhouses! I love the slowing down, using your imagination, the peace and creativity....
Minis are my heart’s desire ❤ I was told once that I would never be able to do minis because I’m legally blind, and being the stubborn, southern woman I am approved them all wrong lol magnifiers in my goofy goggles is my grandchildren. Call them glory to God what a beautiful hobby it is to get into.
The dollhouse...I'm turning 50 next week..I was raised with my maternal grandparents since I was 3 months old...I can still remember always asking Santa Claus for a doll house for Xmas..my grandparents were not working..they received disability and SSI..so fixed income..I of course didn't know until I was already maybe 12-13 yrs old...but I teared up now..but me and my husband have been here in Montana for almost 4 yrs.. from Colorado..and iv seen so many doll houses at yard sales..next time I see one I'm getting it..and see if I could do what you do..god bless you sweety.. your voice is so comforting also
I used to go to Knotts Berry Farm in Southern California to see Mrs Knotts display of doll houses and miniatures. In the 50s it was .25 to see the display. It was such an amazing array of miniatures and beautiful doll houses. It was always one of my grandest childhood memories. 🤗🤗😚😙😗💗💗💗

Love it all. I see lots of little houses made from junk. I'm not to big on the big doll houses myself. One 9f my daughter-in-love s made a huge one from a old book shelf for her daughters. Now that they are grown, she transformed into a barn for her grandson.
I became disabled in 2015 and could no longer work. I found a very nice dollhouse at Goodwill for $10. I spent several months transforming it into a Shabby Chic dream house. I loved every minute of it. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!
I've got some catching up to do been sick past 2 months with covid and just one thing after another. I love everything as usual. Those transfers are beautiful. Those coffee bags are cool never seen them before. My father is a wood worker he built my daughter's doll houses they have real hardwood floors Beautiful trim work. Drywall looks like a real house they are bigger than what you can buy, they are all grown now and my 1 daughter is pregnant with a little girl she pulled hers out. Dollhouses are fun.

I love the way you transform ordinary looking things into special things with moulds, transfers and stencils Teresa. They really do make a big difference and I am going to be trying these techniques going forward. Can't believe you got that great doll house fort only $2!
Good Sunday morning Teresa, I always love everything you do. however, this weeks projects were perfect for me, I have an oval frame that I gave it a dark brown coat and took the mirror out because it was getting heavy for me to handle. ( it seems the older I get my hands can not handle what they use to before) Anyway, I also have been painting a bunch of cans to use them as planters and you have covered it all! GOD IS SO GOOD!! He knew I needed to keep busy this week! Thanks to both of you I have lots of things to keep my mind away from my troubles! Thank you!

I have 3 antique dollhouses,and the Grandkids love to play with them.I made all the furniture for one of my houses out of cardboard and clay and then painted them, its alot of fun and alot cheaper than buying it.My oldest granddaughter made alot of the food out of clay for it, and the bowls and plates.She even made a tiny pepperoni pizza out of clay,so cute.You will have hours and hours of fun working on it.The most recent dollhouse I purchased right b4 Christmas, and a women had made it for her daughter over 40 years ago.It came with all the accessories, and is decorated like the l930s,every room lights up. I will keep that one like it is.I would like to redo the 3rd one,so I look forward to watching you and getting ideas.I really enjoy your videos and learn alot ,thank you for sharing.

Thee crafts are all so very pretty especially the little tin cans. Can't wait to see what you do with the Dolls House. I have done many over the years and I still have 4 that I could not bear to part with. One is a little coastal cottage and I have made everything inside shabby chic. I am sure you will have hours and hours of fun with this. And of course like a real house you can shift them up when you get tired with the way they look.

I love the dollhouse idea I have an old Victorian one that I painted and used in My Shabby Chic faux fireplace! Was beautiful at Christmas with all my white shabby-chic accessories and crystals. Can't wait to see what you're going to do. I also love those little Tin Can ideas you are so creative. :-) before I painted it wait I painted it black and used it for my grandson at Halloween. Was so much fun!

I just saw these cans, on Ruth and Ruby's YT channel, and I want to do them, but I need some cans. I would like to make some large ones, I live near a restaurant, so I can get some bigger cans. I can't wait to see the dollhouse. Making the accessories is going to be the fun part. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I am waiting, to see if you make stairs or if you will make a ladder. I can already see some of the ways I would decorate it. I think we all have that little girl, still inside of us, who still want to play with, or make miniature things. I will be on the hunt, now, for a doll house. I am hoping to get to some yard sales, this year.
I love watching your channel. The Tim cans are awesome. So is the doll house. I always wanted a doll house. When I was in grade school my ststers and I used cardboard boxes for doll houses. Today I see some really nice things made from cardboard. I make jewelry chests from sturdy cardboard boxes. Why not a doll house

I love the idea of using the transfers as moulds. The moulds and transfers are expensive so it is nice to have other uses for them. The little tin cans are going onto my to do craft list. 💕
How did she use a transfer as a mould? I didn’t see that! I shall have to go back and rewatch now. I did see how she used the stamp on the air dry clay, and thought how GENIUS!!!!! 💖
