@@dynamicphotography_ It shows! Any suggestions on best place to spend 3 or 4 days end of August or early September trying to get into a good end of summer hatch? We come out of the SF bay area. Thanks again for the great vids!
I've been wanting to fish some of the lower river on one of my trips to see my daughter in Bend. Didn't realize the was a road you could drive up in the lower section. Are you accessing from area near the Columbia or around Maupin? Appreciate any information and great way to tune up for Salmon fly hatch!
You can access the road at Maupin. It runs up and down the river from there for miles with excellent roadside access and room to spread out (although during may and June it can be a bit crowded). And you can hike further where the road ends on either side. There's a parking lot at the mouth to the Columbia and you can hike up the river but no road from there.
@@chasecook3854 Thanks for the information really appreciate it. I've got a mountain bike and have wanted to explore some of the area and this sounds like a trip I'll have to make soon!!
@@chuckmorgan3049 Sure np! I should mention that if you go up river and come to a locked gate blocking the road, you're only allowed to walk further and are not allowed to bike further.
