Jess and I went back to Kerr Lake this past weekend to try our luck with the spring bite. The ramp was a bit nuts with nearly 100 trucks and trailers parked around it by the time we arrived (for a bass tournament). Overall, the fishing was decent despite the boats zooming through the creek and wind gusts up to 30 mph. I will continue to experiment with bait size and presentation while slow trolling and think that bigger baits tend to do better when the fish have more time to inspect them on the bottom or when suspended.
