rendering html or performing ui tasks (state management) on the server is a laxuary in my mind. Why? because at the begin when there isn't that many features it's no problem. Three years laters and you have becomes successful the server costs will add up as you scale!

Not everyone is making the next big thing. Also, I have seen horror stories of these modern frontend techs (and their backends) that require complete rewrite when they become "successful".
