Comparing 3 approaches to spring reverb: Fender '63 Reissue (outboard tube-driven spring reverb), Spaceman Orion Reverb (pedal-sized spring reverb), and Subdecay Super Spring Theory (digital spring reverb emulation pedal).
Parts were recorded DI and reamped using a Radial JCR reamper, played through my trusty Egnater Tweaker on the Fenderish US channel, attenuated using a Weber Minimass, played through a Weber 12F150B American-voiced speaker, miked by a Beyerdynamic M160 ribbon mic, preamplified by a Hairball Lola preamp, and recorded into Logic by a Scarlett 6i6 interface.I play Newtone round core electric strings. Guitars used: 2019 Fender Ultra Telecaster, 1963 Gibson Firebird III, 2019 Gibson Les Paul Special Tribute Doublecut.
