Spring Snow- Package Bees What to Do? 

We just installed package bees in a 3 new hives with no drawn out comb. Winter has come back for 4-5 days, what to should you do?
We go over how we quickly insulated the backyard hives as new beekeepers and covered the openings to keep heat in the hives.
We use insulated minnow buckets to cover our sugar syrup (ProSweet™) and keep it warm from the hive. It also acts as a heat sync and protected with the radiant bubble wrap we used to cover the hives.
I noticed bees flying out in the snow, so we stuffed some pine needles in the small entrance to prevent more bees from flying out and dying.
