Nieuwoudtville is situated on a plato edge of the Karoo Highlands. It is therefore blessed with more rain than lower lying plains. There has been an abundance of flowers this year after a very wet winter. The flower season is followed by the bulb season and Nieuwoudtville is also known as bulb capital of South Africa.
